Summary

Primary responsibilities will be maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Collaborate closely with internal customers and coordinates external sub-contractors. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting a manufacturing or similar environment.

This role will work primarily day shift hours. Although rare, the individual should expect some emergency or planned weekend support throughout the year.

Tasks & Responsibilities 

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to resolve issues promptly. Equipment includes (but is not limited to) hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Performs minor equipment rebuilds including electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance activities on various types of equipment to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
• Completes emergency repairs as necessary to minimize costly downtime and to maintain production schedules.
• Maintains company equipment.
• Requires occasional use of company forklift.
• Retrieves supplies from merchant vendors as needed.
• Responsible for the timely calibration of equipment.
• Responsible for oven programming, chart recordings, and chart maintenance
• Maintains a positive working relationship with all department employees and supervisors.
• Strictly adheres to all safety protocol.
• Assists in installation of new equipment as required.
• Initiates part requisitions.
• Coordinates outside contracted maintenance as needed (janitorial, building and grounds maintenance).
• Collaborates closely with engineers, productions staff and other technicians to ensure equipment performance and reliability.
• Engages in problem solving and provides proactive solutions in their day-to-day operations.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with site and industry standards and regulations.

Education & Experience

Required:

• 2-year technical degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
• 7-10 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics to assist in problem solving.

Desired:

• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Strong electrical experience or license preferred
• Experience with heating/cooling systems

Summary of the Role: 

The Controller is responsible for all phases of accounting, financial reporting, and other financial activities for the manufacturing site.  The Controller will assist in the continual development and improvement of business processes as well as implementation of accounting policies and procedures, while being the business partner to the plant manager to optimize operating results.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

Oversees month and year-end close processes, financial reporting and account analysis

• Prepares and analyzes monthly reports, monthly forecasts, annual budgets, key performance indicators and all other required financials according to Corporate and local requirements.
• Ensures all corporate internal control requirements are met
• Coordinates and documents all capital investment projects for approvals
• Oversees audits of bills of materials to ensure product costs are accurate and accounted for properly to reflect current production operations.

• Analyzes cash flow, cost controls, and performance measurements to support operational goals.

• Continuously drives process improvements and initiatives for the Finance department to improve effectiveness

Education and Experience: 

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Extensive Knowledge in Microsoft Excel (Lookups, Pivot Tables, Macros, and Formulas)
• Supervisory experience

Desired:

• 4+ years of Cost accounting

• CPA and/or MBA preferred

Internship Objective

Contribute to the execution of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) & Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to quantify the carbon footprint of industrial products, and support the improvement of methodologies, tools and datasets used to guide eco‑design choices.

About the role

• Define and collect the data required for PCFs/LCAs from internal teams (purchasing, production, R&D, supply chain) and environmental databases (Ecoinvent, GHG Protocol), and check data consistency
• Perform PCF/LCA
  • Model products following PCF/LCA methodologies (ISO 14040/44)
  • Build PCF/LCA models using specialized software (SimaPro, OpenLCA, Ecochain)
  • Calculate Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) according to the GHG Protocol Product Standard
  • Identify the most impactful stages (“hotspots”) and propose improvement actions
• Identify and quantify the internal/external resources needed for the product carbon footprint analysis

The Finance Controller is a senior finance leadership role accountable for financial performance, governance, and control across the Product Area. It ensures accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and effective cash flow management. Pilot Line Operator

The Pilot Line Operator is responsible for operating a state-of-the-art pilot extrusion coating line used for research and development at a new manufacturing facility in Forest City, NC. The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for supporting troubleshooting, repairing, modifying and maintaining all mechanical, electrical, instrument, and control components in both plant equipment and facilities systems and components. The Maintenance Team Lead supports the Maintenance Team providing electrical subject-matter expertise and leadership for plant equipment and facility systems.

This role will also directly support routine and frequent roll replacement and setup duties on Coating and Laminating equipment. Responsibilities also include maintaining Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, Catalytic Oxidizer, Solvent Recovery System, and Tank Farm equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, timely, and effective completion of maintenance tasks supporting production and plant needs.
• Provide subject-matter expertise in electrical (AC/DC), motors, drives, PLCs, instrumental, mechanical, and control system troubleshooting.
• Coordinate and administer small-team workforce activities, including task assignments, shift handoff communication, and performance follow-up.
• Conduct and oversee equipment diagnostics, failure investigations, and corrective actions.
• Support CMMS use, ensuring work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and documentation are properly completed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology or related field preferred
• 5-10 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance with an electrical focus required
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and equipment requirements
• PLC troubleshooting and motor control experience
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Stand, walk, kneel, squat and bend for long periods of time throughout 8-12 hour shift
• Climb ladders and stairs as needed.
• Push and pull toolboxes throughout the facility
• Ability to read electrical schematics

Summary of the Role:

The Application Engineer (AE) is responsible for supporting their respective regional market (Americas, Europe or APAC) with technical support of aerospace products, materials and services.  The primary objective is to work directly with sales engineers and aircraft manufactures, component OEMs, and aerospace MROs to advise product and material solutions per the customer’s requirements as well as specify Trelleborg Aerospace standards and modified standards. An Aerospace Application Engineer will utilize all tools within their means to recommend superior products and services.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Liaise with external customers and Trelleborg resources to propose solutions based on customer requirements
• Confirm the technical feasibility of customer projects
• Assurance of alignment to processes; Product Life Cycle Management, Customer Relationship Management, Project Management Process, Design process and other

Overall Responsibilities:

• Follow all clean room procedures and regulations (incl. but not limited to gowning, operational, etc.)
• Understand and Interpret drawings.
• Set-up of metal preparation, rubber preparation, extrusion, moulding, finishing, inspection, washing and packing machines to the correct parameters.
• Efficient operation of metal preparation, rubber preparation, extrusion, moulding, finishing, inspection, washing and packing machines as per work instructions and other procedures: including, but not limited to, loading of raw material, unloading of parts, if necessary, in-line quality checking, machine fine-tuning, part measurement, washing and packing.
• Selecting the right machine program when replacing to a different part number.
• Ensure parts are fully prepared for the following process at the required quality and cleanliness levels in a timely manner.
• Keeps particular attention to the risk of mixing, ensuring all bins / bags / trolleys in the area are closed and that the necessary cleaning is resorted to when changing from one part to another. 
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment in line with 5S methodology.
• Cleaning of machines throughout the shift and thorough cleaning at end of shift.
• Filling in Production sheets, Attribute charts, Process control charts, Total Preventive Maintenance sheets and all other relevant data sheets and checklists as needed for production and quality recording.
• Identify and report anomalies as per company procedures.
• Carry out stock take using the available equipment as instructed in the stock take instructions.
• Receive and provide adequate handover at the start and end of every shift.
• Ensure autonomous maintenance and preventative checks are carried out and recorded as per instructions.
• Ensure all relevant Environment, Health and Safety instructions are followed.
• Participate in risk reduction plans.
• Participate in 8D (Customer complaints) activities for root cause identification.
• Compliance with the requirements of the ISO14001 environment management system and the ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system
• Responsible for reporting any hazards / near misses/ incidents immediately to the area management.
• Training of operators when needed and ensure that other operators reach the required level.
• Receive training local and abroad if needed.

Rubber Preparation Responsibilities

• Mix and mill material as per process instructions and recipes.
• Carry out in-process checks as per PI’s and assess product quality in line with customer requirements.
• Use of oven for pre-heating compound in an effective way.
• Clean machines effectively during compound change over from stray material and other contamination.
• Check and flag to team leader / shift leader when blades, dies, core pins and other relevant ancillary equipment needs to be changed.
• Be responsible for all material handling (incl. but not limited to):
• Checking the delivery of the compounds (and filling checklists)
• Issuing material on MO and printing of labels accordingly
• Ensuring that compound stocks are not expired.
• Carry out the retest procedure on compounds that are close to their shelf life.
• Ensure Kanban compounds are kept up to date.
• Ensure lot traceability is maintained through the selective use of compound lot.
• Use of FIFO.

Metal Preparation Responsibilities

• Carry out in-process checks as per PI’s and assess product quality in line with customer requirements.
• Check and flag to team leader / shift leader when blades, dies, core pins and other relevant ancillary equipment needs to be changed.
• Masking and shot blasting of metals as per customer requirements.
• Degreasing metals
• Handling and mixing of bonding agents.
• Application to bonding agents to metal as per customer requirements.
• Reclaim any metal components.

Moulding Responsibilities

• Carry out in-process checks as per PI’s and assess product quality in line with customer requirements.
• Visual examination of moulded products and on detection of defect: if within capacity, making changes to the machine setting to solve quality issue, or call supervisor.
• Careful handling of component, moulded parts, tooling, and related ancillaries (loading equipment, etc.) to ensure no damage is done.
• Use of oven for pre-heating preforms in an effective way.
• Ensuring supply of raw material and components and delivering work in progress to next station

Finishing Responsibility

• Operations of all finishing machines as per work instructions and other procedures – including (but not limited to) changes / cleaning of media, filters, etc.
• Placement of parts and removal from ovens, ensuring correct identification is kept.
• Ensure materials are grouped by curing cycle required.

Measure, Inspection, Washing and Packing Responsibilities

• Check the line / samples from any production dept. as required.
• Inspect samples (incl. but not limited to, PPAP, new business, line checks, and in-process checks) and supply the respective defect Pareto’s when required.  
• Handle parts for inspection in relevant bins / bags / trolleys in line with EHS standards.
• Selecting the correct Inspection machine program according to the part number.
• Conduct dimensional inspection of parts using the provided certified measuring equipment.
• Carry out inspection duties in accordance with customer quality and cleanliness requirements.
• Conduct auditing / assessing of parts as per quality standards in a timely manner whilst ensuring cleanliness requirements are met.
• Prepare relevant samples according to the certification requirements during assessing and forward samples to quality department.
• Label and segregate all rejects according to quality procedures.
• Wash and Pack parts in accordance with customer specification.
• Assist with other QA functions as required.

Summary:

Set up and process molding machines using the Master Process within the guidelines. Ensure equipment is producing quality parts within the standard cycle times. Set up auxiliary equipment as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install injection molds into molding machines.
• Verify that all set-up conditions are met according to the set-up checklist
• Verify that material is ready for production use (e.g. – drying conditions)

Summary of the Role: 

The Process Engineer supports the team with process expertise; develop, maintain, and improve systems, processes, procedures and process controls.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Process Analysis: Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
• Supports operation's tasks ranging from daily assignments to long term projects.
• Regularly interacts with shop floor employees, leads and supervisors to understand issues and identify technical solutions. Provides regular training to supervisors and shop floor operators.
• Continuously manages several Manufacturing Excellence projects to reduce manufacturing costs. Serve as change agent in continuous improvement.
• Active participant in site wide continuous improvement activities. Idea generation and project implementation.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that processes and equipment adhere to safety standards & regulations.
• Manage CAPEX Projects; identify, justify and implement project. Projects ranging from $3k to $100k+

Education and Experience:

•  Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training

Summary of the Role: 

The Test Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of product testing within the engineering lab. This position supports the development and validation of products by preparing samples, setting up and operating test equipment, and collecting precise data for analysis. The role is essential for maintaining efficient and effective lab operations, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. • Prepare and label seal samples (e.g., O-rings, diaphragms) for testing

The Product Engineer Intern (PEI) is responsible for supporting a Product Engineer creating custom product designs to meet customer expectations.  In order to understand and support the design recommendations, the PEI will be require to interface with the TSS sales team utilizing listening,  problem solving and sales skills.  In support of sales team, the PEI may be responsible for interfacing with the Product Test Lab, the Material Test Lab, and or FEA specialist.

In order to design a product that optimizes TSS commercial goals, the PE will be required to interface with SCM and manufacturing to make sure that the design specifications are manufacturable in the most efficient process possible.

• Support the preparation of Rubber, Plastic and Metal component designs for internal and external manufacturing resources as a result of a Customer Request.

Summary of the Job: 

This is an onsite summer internship opportunity located in Fort Wayne, IN. 

The Material Laboratory Intern role is responsible for standard laboratory testing and data compilation related to polymer testing in the Material Laboratory using a variety of state of the art laboratory equipment. This position will join a high functioning team to support customers in various market segments such as aerospace and health and medical as well as fellow research and development colleagues. Strong understanding of scientific methods required. Communication and problem solving skills are key.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Test polymer material samples for the purpose of characterizing polymer’s physical and thermal properties specifically for chemical compatibility and/or Finite Elemental Analysis modeling.
• Perform test requirements as defined in ASTM, customer, and other industry standard specifications.
• Perform data analysis.
• Follow procedures and perform duties in compliance with lab accreditation requirements (ISO17025).
• Remain free from any undue internal influence and external commercial, financial, or other pressures and influences that may adversely affect the quality of their work.
• General upkeep of the laboratory
• Compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and customer mandated procedures
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Education and Experience: 

• Associates Degree in a scientific field (Physics, Engineering, Chemistry or similar

          OR

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student working towards a scientific degree

This role is responsible for providing technical support to sales teams and customers across all types of technical enquiries, managing projects, and handling seal failure analysis related to performance issues. The position requires strong technical expertise to effectively respond to customer requests and help safeguard and grow existing business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for managed customer accounts to develop optimal sealing solutions, considering both technical and commercial aspects.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer design and R&D teams, building and maintaining strong multi-level customer relationships.

• Work closely with internal Business Units, including Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain Management, to ensure seamless project execution.

• Gain deep understanding of customer applications and clearly communicate the benefits of our sealing portfolio through customized, application-specific solutions (materials, compounds, and quality requirements).

• Initiate RFQs and manage technical complaints, material compliance, and realization of customer opportunities.

• Collect and provide market and customer feedback to identify innovation trends and continuously enhance the sealing portfolio.

• Conduct product and technical training, and support or participate in customer visits, audits, and trade fairs.

• Perform sealing evaluations and recommend improvements to customer applications.

• Manage article and technical data, and support industrialization of design solutions including quality planning and creation of non-standard items.

• Review and approve technical drawings, customer specifications, and documentation, and initiate routing and storage processes in alignment with all stakeholders.

• Execute additional responsibilities as defined in the RACI Matrix and Sales Processes within IMS.

About the Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE).

• 12–15 years of experience in the hydraulics industry and/or sealing solutions business.

• Mandatory working knowledge of Siemens NX and AutoCAD.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Experience in New Product Development (NPD) is an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of rubber and plastic products, seals, and bearings is preferred.

• Strong ability to read, interpret, and work with technical drawings and engineering terminology, with solid mechanical system expertise.

• Application knowledge within relevant market segments is a plus.

• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and requirements is desirable.
