About the Job

I. General information:

  1. Job Title: Manufacturing Team Leader (Rubber)
  2. Report to: Senior Process Engineer (Rubber)
  3. Subordinates: Operators
  4. Working Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City)

II. Summary of the role:

  • Production know how: systematically focus on the Manufacturing process and Operator training.
  • Techical support: coordinate with the Mechanical engineer, actively taking responsibility of Technical specification & support with Raw material / Process exception / Final Inspection / Independent problem solving / Technical transfer project, etc;
  • Continous improvement: improvement with Safety /Quality / Efficiency / Capacity ramping up / Cost down / value stream / Lean manufacturing from the process side

III. Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in understanding product requirements, including product structure, related equipment, materials, and risk assessment.
  • Support documenting current production procedures and help in maintaining Company standards to improve the efficiency of the Production Department.
  • Monitor and verify workers' adherence to SOPs and support process training efforts.
  • Conduct daily checks for process stability and product quality, and report any issues to the Senior Process Engineer.
  • Assist in solving minor quality problems in the production process and final inspection; escalate major issues to the Senior Process Engineer.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to implement ongoing quality improvements under the guidance of the Senior Process Engineer.
  • Stay updated on current production best practices and assist in implementing them under supervision.
  • Help develop and implement production processes for new products, product enhancements, and product changes as guided by senior staff.
  • Collect and summarize basic production and process data for reporting to the Senior Process Engineer and management.
  • Assist in developing daily and weekly production schedules and follow up on task completion.
  • Support the Senior Process Engineer in team training and development.
  • Help maintain discipline and build good team spirit within the department.
  • Provide feedback to other departments (e.g., Quality, Engineering) if any issues arise.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the ERP system.
  • Attend meetings as required and follow up on actions assigned.
  • Prepare basic weekly and monthly reports for submission to the Senior Process Engineer.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Process Engineer or Rubber MFG Manager.

 

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in major of rubber / polymer engineering;
  • 3 years or more experience with good background in Rubber industrial manufacturing.
  • Experienced in Compound Mixing and operating with Calender/Extruder.
  • Experienced in people/operator management.
  • Basic English.
