Our Delano, MN team is looking for a  Swiss Machinist to join the team.  This role supports manufacturing by machining mold components, fixtures and related tools to design specifications.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machine tools and equipment to manufacture, repair and revise components for molds, fixtures, and related tools in a safe and timely manner.
  • Understand intended use and function of machined parts to ensure proper fit and performance at end use or assembly.
  • Use CAD/CAM technology to create safe and effective CNC programing.
  • Monitor tooling resource queues utilizing scheduling ques to ensure operations are completed on time.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with key contacts in various departments and sites to provide exceptional machining services.
  • Inspect machined components and record dimensional data to validate part quality.

Education and Experience

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Estimated 2 years CNC machining experience including setup.
  • Experience creating CNC programs for mills and/or lathes using CAD/CAM software.

Desired

  • 2-year technical degree in Machine Tool Trades/Tool and Die
  • Completion of Trelleborg apprenticeship program

The idea candidate will have a flexible working approach, can contribute towards the team effort and is empowered to undertake work on their own initiative. The role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing a robust supply base for high-quality, precision CNC-turned components. This role involves managing the full vendor lifecycle, from initial sourcing and technical assessment to performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret product requirements to inform mold design.
  • Design rubber injection mold tools, ensuring deep technical expertise in both rubber and elastomer component design.
  • Apply strong knowledge of CAD/CAE tools to create detailed and accurate mold designs.
  • Utilize Moldflow simulation software to optimize designs and predict manufacturing outcomes.
  • Incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Manage the end-to-end tool design process, from initial concept through to manufacturing release.
  • Work closely with product design, tooling, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Interact with toolmakers and vendors to communicate design intent and resolve technical issues
  • Utilize Moldflow simulation, filling analysis, cooling analysis, and curing prediction.
  • Optimize design for cycle time, part quality, and defect prevention (air traps, scorch, short fills)

    • Drive corrective actions (8D) to resolve quality and delivery issues.
    • Mitigate supply chain risks by ensuring alternate sourcing is in place for critical components.
  • Documentation and reporting:
    • Maintain and update all vendor records, documentation, and sourcing information in the ERP system.

Generate and present management information reports (MIS) on vendor performance, cost savings, and project status.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

  • 5+ years in vendor development, strategic sourcing, or procurement within a manufacturing or automotive setting. Experience with machined parts is mandatory.

  • Deep understanding of CNC Turning processes, tooling, and materials.

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Summary of the Role:

 As a painter, you would prepare the surfaces of the parts, mix the paint, prep your tools, and apply paint ensuring high quality, blemish free parts. 


Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Use sanders and similar tools to ensure parts are prepped for paint.   
  • Routinely review work orders, work on correct operations and jobs. 
  • Sand and prep surfaces to requirement and meet daily Takt times. 
  • Prepare and mix paint to the requirement using weight scales and mixers. 
  • Painting parts to meet requirements. 
  • Document all required information as per the work instructions. 
  • Package and prepare parts for shipment to next operation. 
  • Verify correct part count and paperwork accompanies product. 
  • Maintain your work area, keep it stocked, clean, and organized. 
  • Maintain the area and paint booth by changing filters as required, documenting maintenance, monitor and document nanometer readings, replacing dirt traps, mats, etc. 
  • Maintain inventory control of supplies and remove expiring items from system and work area. 
  • Maintain spray equipment to the highest standard. 
  • Reviewing work and delivering blemish free parts to paint.  
  • Maintain a safe work environment. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills: 

  • Must keep the area clean and organized at all times. 
  • Must maintain a FOD free work environment. 
  • Ability to use a DA sander for several hours. 
  • Ability to use a paint spray gun for several hours. 
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance 
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills

  • Proficient use of paint guns, including the ability to adjust it for humidity and viscosity to achieve required paint results. 
  • Full understanding of cleaning a paint gun including disassembly and reassembly for maintaining a clean gun for high quality paint results.

  • Knowledge of Solvent and Waterborne Paints. 
  • Proficient use of Zahn EZ cup and DIN Flow cup 
  • Knowledge of using a PosiPen and Wet Film Thickness Gauge 
  • Must have the ability to compare color charts to actual painted parts. 
  • Must be able to differentiate colors to accurately identify defects in product paint

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Understand paint mixing, cure time, and paint expiration dates

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the on time completion of preventative maintenance throughout the assigned areas while conducting themselves in a safe and professional manner. In all duties preformed the Maintenance Technician, safe operations must be maintained in support of TSS Denver’s Vision–Mission–Values (VMV). The Maintenance Technician will perform the necessary functions to complete other types of work orders while operating alone or with a team and the daily tasks of filling fluids, emptying of refuse and helping or running production within the cells if needed.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Demonstrate safe and ethical work practices. Ask for help when needed or unsure.
  • On time completion of assigned PM’s.
  • Daily maintenance tasks include checking and filling oil and coolant, cleaning machines, collecting trash and recyclables.
  • Complete other assign work orders on time working alone or assisting as part of the team.
  • Help in production areas or run machines when needed.
  • Perform industrial/plant functions; carpentry, painting, plumbing, miscellaneous facility repairs, and minor electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain, repair, and replaces equipment and/or parts as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping of all duties performed.
  • Works with outside maintenance crews for more specialized projects.
  • Take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, or named active lead, for all maintenance related work and from the cell lead when helping with production.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1-year previous maintenance experience, trade or technical school preferred. Must have a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and all types of production/industrial machines. Should also have prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal; includes building relationships with team.

Due to the inherent danger when preforming maintenance functions, the candidate must be able to communicate clearly in English. This includes both verbal and written forms.

Must be able to function alone or as part of a team.

Must be able to pass internal forklift and scissor lift certifications

Must understand and follow the Lockout/Tag out procedure as required.

Must understand and follow Hot Work procedures.

Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems with ability to read drawings and schematics for both.

Ability, or ability to learn, to operate specialized tools used in electrical, carpentry, plumbing and related building trades

PC skills included MS Office, QualTrax, JDE and CMMS systems.

Math skills including basic geometry and trig.

Ability and willingness to document findings and tasks preformed. To accurately track and document your use of time.

To prepare records and reports for use both inner departmentally and for presentation to others.

Reading and interpreting manuals, specifications, drawings and blueprints.

Ability or willingness to learn to operate machine tools.

Must have a high level of attention to detail.

Hydraulic experience or skills are a plus.

Welding and fabrication skills a plus.


Work Environment/Physical Demands/Equipment Used

This position is located in a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending, and reaching throughout a scheduled shift.  Must be able to work with heavy machinery with an ever-changing workload.  Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and hold a forklift certification.

About the Role

The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to day operations in River Falls, WI. The Plant Manager will successfully lead and direct the local operations, engineering, supply chain, maintenance and quality teams. Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a CNC Toolmaker to join their Plymouth, MN team. Using CAM software to create CNC programs, the CNC Toolmaker selects the appropriate tools, machining methods, fixturing, and sequence of operations to manufacture tooling components to design specifications. Performs all aspects of machine set up and operation, including process engineering, program alterations, and part inspection.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes CAM Software to create, verify, and troubleshoot CNC programs for multiple machine types, such as 3,4, & 5 axis mills, multi-axis lathes, mill-turns, Swiss-type sliding headstock lathes, EDM drill, and Wire & Sinker EDM’s 
  • Evaluates CAD models and engineering drawings to determine programming and machining requirements
  • Communicates and collaborates with other programmers and Toolmakers to develop and execute specific operations plans for machining tooling components
  • Selects the proper machine, tooling, speeds, feeds, depths of cut, over-burn, offsets, cycles, and settings as required to manufacture parts/components to design specifications
  • Performs set ups, program creation and modification, and all process tasks required to complete tooling related work center operations. 
  • Responsible for program revision and file management in accordance with standard practices 
  • Designs, programs, & constructs fixtures for work-holding, manufacturing and measurement of tooling components and machined parts
  • Collaborates with Designers, Engineers, and Toolmakers to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods
  • Monitors workload and works with other programmers to plan, prioritize, and adjust job schedule to maximize machine utilization and meet due dates

Maintains tool databases, machine tool information, programming standards, and backups of machine specific settings and program information

 

Education and Experience

Required 

  • Two-year technical degree in Machine Tool Technology related field or equivalent combination of skills and experience 
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing 
  • Experience using tool probing systems and laser tool setters. 
  • Experience in at least one CAM system 

Desired 

  • 3-5 years programming in at least one CAM system, including creation of 3D surfacing toolpaths. 
  • 5+ years of experience setting up and operating machine tools. 
  • Formal training or certification in at least one CAD or CAM software system 
  • Multi-axis machine operation and programming 
  • Multi-channel programming and synchronization 
  • Experience with automated workpiece changers (Pallet Systems) or flexible manufacturing cells

Summary of the Role:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Product Engineer is primarily responsible for being the product specialist for the concerned product group. The Product Engineer role is to understand a customer's needs on new product requests and apply this to current processes as well as to engage new processes as the market develops. In this role, the Product Engineer will assist in developing product strategy, promote the sites capabilities and train key personnel (Sales Engineers & Application Engineers) within Trelleborg. The Product Engineer will conduct product estimating activities and provide the business with profitable solutions.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Product Cost Management
  • Oversee the estimating process for inquiries from receipt of customer request to receipt of order.
  • Coordinate locally the enquiry priority based on evaluation and analysis of overall business opportunities.
  • Lead the coordination of quotes for specification enquiries.
  • Propose indicative project timelines and milestones for enquiries, ensuring data is made available to New Product Introduction & Project Management teams.
  • Proactively provide technical support to application engineers, sales engineers and end customers on technical  capabilities of product, limitations, alternative solutions, and commercial impacts, using evidence based methodology.
  • Monitor & review projects for any design or concept changes in customer requirement,  identifying technical,      operational, and commercial impacts.
  • Support the management of estimating rules and templates.
  • Instigate supplier capability development to ensure suppliers help TSS to achieve innovative solutions as well as costs saving opportunities.
  • Lead periodic product family reviews for manufacturing process, BoM & BoL adherence, actioning or escalating any deviations with stakeholders.
  • Identify and facilitate disposition of unused customer and TSS owned tooling along with customer support teams and customers.
  • Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through costs analysis reviews.

  Technical Reviews

  • Instigate and lead cross functional feasibility studies for new business enquiries
  • Participate in design reviews and other project related meetings.
  • Provide support for Qualification Test Plans, Qualification Test Reports, & FMEA's.
  • Responsible for providing all technical information regarding a focused product group
  • Develop skills to apply multiple products/processes to a customer problem in order to present the marketing       companies with a complete sealing solution where possible. System, Reporting, & Training 
  •  Manage inter-company price lists Maintain and assign all local site specific part numbers in accordance with TSS standards. 
  • Provide monthly, site specific KPI's · Participate in monthly site review of active enquiries & projects

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree in engineering or other technical field required
  • 1 year manufacturing experience
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Database and ERP operating systems experience is preferred
  • Must have a strong understanding of application of materials and design in manufacturing environments
  • Experience within the Aerospace industry and preferably in polymer manufacturing
  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders (internal & external) at all levels in the business

Competencies: 

  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

At our TSS Cadley Hill site, we manufacture hand-built Aircraft, Engine, and Airframe seals using a wide range of silicones, fabrics, and retaining metals. The moulding process involves hand fabricating silicones, fabrics, and metallic items into a part-specific mould tool, which is built to precise manufacturing specifications and loaded into a compression press to cure under pressure and heat, forming the final product.

Om vores stillinger i produktionen
Vores produktionsafdelinger arbejder med alt fra blanding af råmaterialer, formning af rør og drejning af tætninger på CNC-maskiner til vask, rens, kvalitetstjek og manuel efterbearbejdning af emner.

Arbejdsopgaver i afdelingerne:

Mould – rørproduktion
I Mould arbejdes der med vores råmaterialer i pulverform. Her blandes råmaterialerne i store spande, hvorefter pulveret, under højt tryk, presses til rør i både større og mindre formpressere. Efter rørene er blevet presset, sendes de til sintring, hvor de færdigproduceres i vores ovne. Arbejdsopgaverne kan inkludere tungere løft. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Mould består af:

  • Afmåling og blanding af råmaterialer i pulverform
  • Indstilling og montering af formpressere/kerner
  • Manuel påfyldning og overvågning af formpressere
  • Afmontering og manuel kvalitetskontrol af færdigpressede rør

Drej – drejning af tætninger
I Drej arbejdes der videre med de færdigproducerede rør, som her ved hjælp af CNC-maskiner drejes til vores højteknologiske tætninger. Vi kører alt fra enkeltstyksproduktion med mange omstillinger til højvolumenproduktion, hvorfor der er variation i det, der produceres. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Drej består af:

  • Drejning af tætninger i PTFE og andre plastmaterialer
  • Tilpasning af programmer og værktøjer på CNC-drejebænke
  • Kvalitetskontrol ved brug af manuelt måleudstyr og visionsmaskiner
  • Elektronisk registrering til dokumentation af kvalitetskontrol
  • Bearbejdning i PTFE-materialer

Efterbearbejdning – visuel inspektion, efterbearbejdning og pakning af ordrer
I Efterbearbejdningen foregår den sidste del af produktionsprocessen. Her foregår meget af arbejdet ved manuel og visuel inspektion af tætningerne, men nogle emner kan også have behov for særlig efterbearbejdning i form af vask eller ved, at der laves særlige spor eller huller i tætningerne. Når produkterne er visuelt kontrolleret, skal de pakkes efter ordrernes anvisninger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Efterbearbejdningen består af:

  • Manuel og visuel inspektion af færdigproducerede emner
  • Vibrationsafgratning samt vask og rens af emner
  • Fremstilling af spor og huller i tætningerne
  • Overvågning og betjening af automatiserede maskiner
  • Pluk og pak af ordrer

QC – kvalitetssikring af produkter før, under og efter produktion
I Quality Control er kvalitet af højeste prioritet. Her kvalitetssikres vores produkter både før, under og efter produktion, og det er QCs ansvar at sørge for, at vores produkter overholder de kvalitetsstandarder, vi lover vores kunder. QC har en bred kontaktflade, og du skal derfor trives i en udadvendt rolle samt være god til at samarbejde og kommunikere med kolleger på tværs af afdelinger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i QC består af:

  • Stikprøvekontrol af emner i alle størrelser og godkendelse af færdige produkter
  • Kontrol af Notch, Cut og afsyrede produkter
  • Assistere produktionen med måleteknik m.m.
  • Udarbejdelse af manuel og elektronisk dokumentation

Vores produktion kører døgnet rundt, og du vil derfor få mulighed for at arbejde i fast skift fra mandag til fredag på enten dag-, aften- eller nathold. Det er dog sjældent, at vi får ledige stillinger på daghold. Uanset hvilket hold du bliver en del af, sørger vi naturligvis for grundig oplæring og løbende udvikling, så du bliver godt klædt på til opgaven.
