Summary

The Lead Operator ensures team success by coordinating production activities and removing roadblocks. Focuses on continuous improvements for the processes and the people. Serves as back-up operator as needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identifies and attempts to resolve problems, escalating as appropriate
  • Documents and ensures effective training for all relevant personnel
  • Develops, tracks, and implements ideas to continuously improve safety, quality, cost and delivery
  • Leads and inspires others to apply a disciplined root cause analysis approach to all problems
  • Monitors, informs, and assists supervisor in making adjustments to production or work assignments based on customer demand or other constraints
  • Assists with changeovers and helps with setups as required to maintain product flow
  • Monitors and updates production boards
  • Provides supervisor with feedback regarding employee performance on a consistent basis
  • Performs operations as necessary to cover breaks, absences and meet deadlines
  • Ensures accurate documentation is being used and completed in a timely manner

Education and Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • 2 year experience in a production environment

Desired:

Tasks and Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Follow all clean room procedures and regulations (incl. but not limited to gowning, operational, etc.)
  • Understand and Interpret drawings.
  • Set-up of metal preparation, rubber preparation, extrusion, moulding, finishing, inspection, washing and packing machines to the correct parameters.
  • Efficient operation of metal preparation, rubber preparation, extrusion, moulding, finishing, inspection, washing and packing machines as per work instructions and other procedures: including, but not limited to, loading of raw material, unloading of parts, if necessary, in-line quality checking, machine fine-tuning, part measurement, washing and packing.
  • Selecting the right machine program when replacing to a different part number.
  • Ensure parts are fully prepared for the following process at the required quality and cleanliness levels in a timely manner.
  • Keeps particular attention to the risk of mixing, ensuring all bins / bags / trolleys in the area are closed and that the necessary cleaning is resorted to when changing from one part to another. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment in line with 5S methodology.
  • Cleaning of machines throughout the shift and thorough cleaning at end of shift.
  • Filling in Production sheets, Attribute charts, Process control charts, Total Preventive Maintenance sheets and all other relevant data sheets and checklists as needed for production and quality recording.
  • Identify and report anomalies as per company procedures.
  • Carry out stock take using the available equipment as instructed in the stock take instructions.
  • Receive and provide adequate handover at the start and end of every shift.
  • Ensure autonomous maintenance and preventative checks are carried out and recorded as per instructions.
  • Ensure all relevant Environment, Health and Safety instructions are followed.
  • Participate in risk reduction plans.
  • Participate in 8D (Customer complaints) activities for root cause identification.
  • Compliance with the requirements of the ISO14001 environment management system and the ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system
  • Responsible for reporting any hazards / near misses/ incidents immediately to the area management.
  • Training of operators when needed and ensure that other operators reach the required level.
  • Receive training local and abroad if needed.

Rubber Preparation Responsibilities

  • Mix and mill material as per process instructions and recipes.
  • Carry out in-process checks as per PI’s and assess product quality in line with customer requirements.
  • Use of oven for pre-heating compound in an effective way.
  • Clean machines effectively during compound change over from stray material and other contamination.
  • Check and flag to team leader / shift leader when blades, dies, core pins and other relevant ancillary equipment needs to be changed.
  • Be responsible for all material handling (incl. but not limited to):
  • Checking the delivery of the compounds (and filling checklists)
  • Issuing material on MO and printing of labels accordingly
  • Ensuring that compound stocks are not expired.
  • Carry out the retest procedure on compounds that are close to their shelf life.
  • Ensure Kanban compounds are kept up to date.
  • Ensure lot traceability is maintained through the selective use of compound lot.
  • Use of FIFO.

Metal Preparation Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-process checks as per PI’s and assess product quality in line with customer requirements.
  • Check and flag to team leader / shift leader when blades, dies, core pins and other relevant ancillary equipment needs to be changed.
  • Masking and shot blasting of metals as per customer requirements.
  • Degreasing metals
  • Handling and mixing of bonding agents.
  • Application to bonding agents to metal as per customer requirements.
  • Reclaim any metal components.

Moulding Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-process checks as per PI’s and assess product quality in line with customer requirements.
  • Visual examination of moulded products and on detection of defect: if within capacity, making changes to the machine setting to solve quality issue, or call supervisor.
  • Careful handling of component, moulded parts, tooling, and related ancillaries (loading equipment, etc.) to ensure no damage is done.
  • Use of oven for pre-heating preforms in an effective way.
  • Ensuring supply of raw material and components and delivering work in progress to next station

Finishing Responsibility

  • Operations of all finishing machines as per work instructions and other procedures – including (but not limited to) changes / cleaning of media, filters, etc.
  • Placement of parts and removal from ovens, ensuring correct identification is kept.
  • Ensure materials are grouped by curing cycle required.

Measure, Inspection, Washing and Packing Responsibilities

  • Check the line / samples from any production dept. as required.
  • Inspect samples (incl. but not limited to, PPAP, new business, line checks, and in-process checks) and supply the respective defect Pareto’s when required.  
  • Handle parts for inspection in relevant bins / bags / trolleys in line with EHS standards.
  • Selecting the correct Inspection machine program according to the part number.
  • Conduct dimensional inspection of parts using the provided certified measuring equipment.
  • Carry out inspection duties in accordance with customer quality and cleanliness requirements.
  • Conduct auditing / assessing of parts as per quality standards in a timely manner whilst ensuring cleanliness requirements are met.
  • Prepare relevant samples according to the certification requirements during assessing and forward samples to quality department.
  • Label and segregate all rejects according to quality procedures.
  • Wash and Pack parts in accordance with customer specification.
  • Assist with other QA functions as required.

Summary:

Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.) as required
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision necessary
  • Experience with medical devices and cleanroom environments desired
  • Three (3) years as a mold set-up technician is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 & 9001:2015 and Good Documentation Practices preferred
  • General computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of Paulsons Injection Molding practices is preferred

Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a CNC Toolmaker to join their Plymouth, MN team. Using CAM software to create CNC programs, the CNC Toolmaker selects the appropriate tools, machining methods, fixturing, and sequence of operations to manufacture tooling components to design specifications. Performs all aspects of machine set up and operation, including process engineering, program alterations, and part inspection.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes CAM Software to create, verify, and troubleshoot CNC programs for multiple machine types, such as 3,4, & 5 axis mills, multi-axis lathes, mill-turns, Swiss-type sliding headstock lathes, EDM drill, and Wire & Sinker EDM’s 
  • Evaluates CAD models and engineering drawings to determine programming and machining requirements
  • Communicates and collaborates with other programmers and Toolmakers to develop and execute specific operations plans for machining tooling components
  • Selects the proper machine, tooling, speeds, feeds, depths of cut, over-burn, offsets, cycles, and settings as required to manufacture parts/components to design specifications
  • Performs set ups, program creation and modification, and all process tasks required to complete tooling related work center operations. 
  • Responsible for program revision and file management in accordance with standard practices 
  • Designs, programs, & constructs fixtures for work-holding, manufacturing and measurement of tooling components and machined parts

Maintains tool databases, machine tool information, programming standards, and backups of machine specific settings and program information

 

Education and Experience

Required 

  • Two-year technical degree in Machine Tool Technology related field or equivalent combination of skills and experience 
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing 
  • Experience using tool probing systems and laser tool setters. 
  • Experience in at least one CAM system 

Desired 

  • 3-5 years programming in at least one CAM system, including creation of 3D surfacing toolpaths.

Collaborates with an energetic team of professionals driven to provide efficient manufacturing solutions. These solutions support our production team and range from simple fixtures to fully automated robotic cells. The Automation Control Engineer focuses on the controls of the system while collaborating with mechanical, vision, and validation.  The automation team designs and develops the systems for manufacturing our products, for improving current manufacturing, as well as, systems for new product development.

Mechanical:

  • Collaborates with the automation team to determine project direction
  • Provides designs that ensure operator safety
  • Collaborates on designs, assembles, and tests: fixtures, robotic cells, and end-of-arm tooling
  • Designs schematic and electrical panel layout
  • Troubleshoots and improves existing equipment when necessary

Software

  • Programs PLCs, HMIs, Robots as well as SCADA and vision systems
  • Uses SolidWorks to design 3D models and create 2D drawings when necessary

  • Uses an ERP system to enter hours and requisitions, complete repair requests
  • Uses Microsoft Office for project documentation

Documentation

  • Creates Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Product Specific Operating Procedures (PSOPs), and standard training documents

In this role, you will be responsible for on time, first pass yield of product to customer at customers’ specification. Instandhaltungstechniker mit elektrischer Grundausbildung (m/w/d)

Deine Hauptaufgaben sind
  • Instandhaltung und Reparatur von Produktionsanlagen und Peripheriegeräte, wie Spritzgussmaschinen, Roboter, Handlinggeräten und Ofenanlagen
  • Mithilfe beim Erarbeiten von Problemlösungen und Prozesssteuerungen
  • Pflege der technischen Dokumentationen
Dein Profil
  • Abgeschlossene Grundausbildung als Elektroinstallateur, Elektromechaniker oder Automatiker
  • ausgewiesene Praxiserfahrung im Betriebsunterhalt (Bereich Spritzgusstechnik zwingend erforderlich)
  • Idealerweise Ausbildung zum Instandhaltungsfachmann
  • Besitz der Anschlussbewilligung Art. 15 gewünscht
  • Technisches sowie elektronisches Verständnis und sicherer Umgang mit Schaltplänen
  • Gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift, Englischkenntnisse von Vorteil
  • Selbständige und präzise Arbeitsweise

Om vores stillinger i produktionen
Vores produktionsafdelinger arbejder med alt fra blanding af råmaterialer, formning af rør og drejning af tætninger på CNC-maskiner til vask, rens, kvalitetstjek og manuel efterbearbejdning af emner.

Arbejdsopgaver i afdelingerne:

Mould – rørproduktion
I Mould arbejdes der med vores råmaterialer i pulverform. Her blandes råmaterialerne i store spande, hvorefter pulveret, under højt tryk, presses til rør i både større og mindre formpressere. Efter rørene er blevet presset, sendes de til sintring, hvor de færdigproduceres i vores ovne. Arbejdsopgaverne kan inkludere tungere løft. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Mould består af:

  • Afmåling og blanding af råmaterialer i pulverform
  • Indstilling og montering af formpressere/kerner
  • Manuel påfyldning og overvågning af formpressere
  • Afmontering og manuel kvalitetskontrol af færdigpressede rør

Drej – drejning af tætninger
I Drej arbejdes der videre med de færdigproducerede rør, som her ved hjælp af CNC-maskiner drejes til vores højteknologiske tætninger. Vi kører alt fra enkeltstyksproduktion med mange omstillinger til højvolumenproduktion, hvorfor der er variation i det, der produceres. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Drej består af:

  • Drejning af tætninger i PTFE og andre plastmaterialer
  • Tilpasning af programmer og værktøjer på CNC-drejebænke
  • Kvalitetskontrol ved brug af manuelt måleudstyr og visionsmaskiner
  • Elektronisk registrering til dokumentation af kvalitetskontrol
  • Bearbejdning i PTFE-materialer

Efterbearbejdning – visuel inspektion, efterbearbejdning og pakning af ordrer
I Efterbearbejdningen foregår den sidste del af produktionsprocessen. Her foregår meget af arbejdet ved manuel og visuel inspektion af tætningerne, men nogle emner kan også have behov for særlig efterbearbejdning i form af vask eller ved, at der laves særlige spor eller huller i tætningerne. Når produkterne er visuelt kontrolleret, skal de pakkes efter ordrernes anvisninger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Efterbearbejdningen består af:

  • Manuel og visuel inspektion af færdigproducerede emner
  • Vibrationsafgratning samt vask og rens af emner
  • Fremstilling af spor og huller i tætningerne
  • Overvågning og betjening af automatiserede maskiner
  • Pluk og pak af ordrer

QC – kvalitetssikring af produkter før, under og efter produktion
I Quality Control er kvalitet af højeste prioritet. Her kvalitetssikres vores produkter både før, under og efter produktion, og det er QCs ansvar at sørge for, at vores produkter overholder de kvalitetsstandarder, vi lover vores kunder. QC har en bred kontaktflade, og du skal derfor trives i en udadvendt rolle samt være god til at samarbejde og kommunikere med kolleger på tværs af afdelinger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i QC består af:

  • Stikprøvekontrol af emner i alle størrelser og godkendelse af færdige produkter
  • Kontrol af Notch, Cut og afsyrede produkter
  • Assistere produktionen med måleteknik m.m.
  • Udarbejdelse af manuel og elektronisk dokumentation

Vores produktion kører døgnet rundt, og du vil derfor få mulighed for at arbejde i fast skift fra mandag til fredag på enten dag-, aften- eller nathold. Det er dog sjældent, at vi får ledige stillinger på daghold. Uanset hvilket hold du bliver en del af, sørger vi naturligvis for grundig oplæring og løbende udvikling, så du bliver godt klædt på til opgaven.

Hvem er du?
For os er det ikke så vigtigt, hvad du tidligere har arbejdet med, eller hvilken uddannelsesmæssig baggrund du har – vi tror nemlig på, at hvis man har evnerne og den rette indstilling, vilje og gå-på-mod, så kan resten tillæres. Det vil dog være en fordel, hvis du har en faglig relevant uddannelse, eller hvis du har relevant erfaring fra tidligere beskæftigelse.


For at vi fortsat kan bibeholde en verdensklasseproduktion, er det et krav, at du er grundig, kvalitetsbevidst og aldrig går på kompromis med kvaliteten. Du skal også kunne begå dig på dansk i skrift og tale samt have kendskab til IT på brugerniveau. Det er også vigtigt, at du kan arbejde selvstændigt, og at du trives med at arbejde alene.
