Location: Dion-Valmont near Wavre, close to E411 motorway
Are you passionate about solving complex engineering challenges and fostering strong customer relationships? Trelleborg is seeking a dynamic Sales Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be the technical contact and coordinator for complex projects, ensuring optimal technical support and customer satisfaction through your expertise in sealing competence and application understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Insight: Collect and analyze customer information to understand their business, technical requirements, and expectations.
- Engineering Solutions: Develop complex engineering solutions that meets the customer needs.
- Data Management: Manage article data including quality planning and non-standard item creation.
- Technical Documentation: Manage technical drawings and documents, routing, and storage using the appropriate systems.
- Design Industrialization: Ensure the industrialization of the design solutions.
- Contract Review: Perform advanced contract reviews
- Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with European Network, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, and R&D to offer proper solutions.
- Problem Resolution: Align with customers to resolve technical problems until serial delivery.
- Training: Perform in-house product and technical training sessions.
- Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with all necessary standards and regulations.
- Customer Engagement: Participate in customer visits and industry fairs.
Qualifications
- Education: Technical school degree or equivalent, with Mechanical Engineering or Technical Education preferred.
- Experience: Preferably 2+ years in an engineering-related field.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of technical drawings and mechanical systems.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management: Strong project management and negotiation skills.
- Customer Focus: Customer-driven with a positive, professional attitude.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of rubber/plastic products, seals, and bearings is beneficial.
- Quality Standards: Familiarity with ISO quality requirements is beneficial.
