Project Management

The Project Manager for Operations China is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing local projects. The overall responsibilities include ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Trelleborg standards. This position requires coordinating resources, managing risks, and facilitating effective communication to achieve project objectives and support the business objectives of Trelleborg Medical Solutions. The main deliverables of this role include successful project completion with adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards, as well as effective communication and collaboration across teams to drive project success and contribute to the overall growth and success of the APAC region.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, setting clear objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies

•Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources to meet project requirements, optimizing utilization for successful project outcomes.

•Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, assess their impact, and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.

•Budget Control: Monitor project budgets closely, control costs, and ensure financial performance aligns with project objectives.

•Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among all project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration.

•Project Execution: Oversee project execution, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards of quality. Manage processes of component manufacturing location, approval, setup, and integration.

•Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status to relevant parties regularly. Participate in cross-functional development and review/approval of manufacturing documentation

•Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to align objectives and ensure project success.

•Change Management: Manage change throughout implementation, transfer, and integration processes; Adapt to evolving project requirements, assess the impact of changes, and implement necessary adjustments seamlessly.

•Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive efficiency enhancements to optimize project outcomes.

•Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the project adheres to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, as well as industry-specific standards.

•Procurement and Vendors Management: Coordinate procurement activities and manage vendor relationships effectively to support project goals.

•Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure high performance.

•Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for APAC projects, enabling effective planning and resource allocation.

•Innovation and Technology: Explore and implement innovative technologies and processes to enhance project efficiency and improve product quality.

Education and Experience 

•Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, project management, or other related educational backgrounds.

•Project Management Background: A strong background in project management, typically with experience in managing manufacturing projects.

•Experience with manufacturing facilities projects, including industrial leasing, environmental approvals process, equipment procurement, etc. is a major benefit

•Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience, including managing project teams and leading cross-functional teams.

•Language Skills: Native/Fluent Mandarin Chinese and good command of English, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

•Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the manufacturing industry, preferably with experience in the medical solutions or related sector.

•Technical Skills: Proficient in using project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Jira, or other relevant PM software to effectively manage projects and track progress.

About the role:

The Quality & BMS Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving Trelleborg Marine System’s Business Management System (BMS) or Integrated Management System (IMS) and QMS (Quality Management Systems). The role ensures compliance with ISO 9001, stakeholder requirements, legal obligations, and Group standards through effective governance, audits, risk management, document control, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position is primarily focused on management systems and documentation rather than operational quality control activities.

Roles and responsibilities:

BMS or IMS Management

• Implementation of BMS/IMS as per internal stakeholder requirements
• Maintain and improve the BMS/IMS in line with project management requirements.
• Manage policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
• Ensure effective document control, version management, and record retention.
• Drive process standardization and system compliance across the business.

QMS Management

• Implementation of QMS as per business needs and ISO 9001 guidelines.
• Maintain and continuously improve the QMS in line with project and business requirements.
• Manage policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
• Ensure effective document control, version management, and record retention.
• Drive process standardization, compliance, and continual improvement across the business 

Governance & Performance

• Coordinate Management Review meetings and track actions.
• Monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and process performance.
• Prepare management reports on quality, compliance, audits, risks, and improvements.

Audits, Compliance & Risk

• Develop and manage the internal audit program.
• Coordinate external certification, customer, and supplier audits.
• Track corrective actions and verify effective closure.
• Maintain risk, compliance, and legal obligation registers.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Act as custodian of the company's management system documentation.
• Support departments in developing and updating procedures and work instructions.
• Facilitate root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Training & Awareness

• Deliver BMS/IMS training and promote compliance awareness.
• Support competency management and training record maintenance.

Education and Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in, Business Management Systems (BMS)/Integrated Management Systems (IMS), Quality Management Systems and Compliance and Governance
• Demonstrated experience managing and improving ISO 9001 compliant management systems.
• Experience with third-party project management tools such as Monday.com, Jira, or other globally recognized platforms
• Proven experience coordinating internal (multidisciplinary) and external audits.
• Strong experience in document control, risk management, corrective actions, and compliance programs.
• Experience supporting project quality documentation within engineering, manufacturing, or project delivery organizations.
• Experience leading process improvement and organizational change initiatives.

Education and Experience

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years equivalent experience
• 5 years minimum experience working in a polymer processing or medical manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role
Desired:
• 5 years minimum experience working in a polymer processing or medical manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role and performing the essential job functions listed above
• Post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or certificate training in polymer related or project management discipline
