Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develops and manages project timelines and associated communication
• Accountable and responsible for management and successful completion of assigned projects to meet agreed timeline
• Identify and manage risks within projects
• Transparent identification and management of customer-driven or internal scope changes
• Clear and confident project escalation to stakeholders & leadership
• Facilitates/leads regular project updates/conference calls with customer
• Manages internal cross-functional resources ensuring completion of assigned deliverables
• Manages open sales order activity/dates for assigned NPD deliverables
• Participates in cross functional development and review/approval of manufacturing and quality documentation
• Participates in on/off site technical discussions/DFM reviews with customer
• Provides technical support to estimating/sales for quoting new programs
• Participates in tooling design review activities
• Contributes to data analysis and collaboration with Quality Engineering

• Provides engineering consulting on existing production programs as needed
• Create, track, and report critical department KPI’s
• Initiate, lead, and participate in continuous improvement activities as needed to support critical KPI goals
• Manage projects across Trelleborg Medical Solutions manufacturing sites as needed

Education and Experience

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years equivalent experience
• 5 years minimum experience working in a polymer processing or medical manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role
Desired:
• 5 years minimum experience working in a polymer processing or medical manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role and performing the essential job functions listed above
• Post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or certificate training in polymer related or project management discipline

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Manufacturing Technology Project Manager, APAC to join our Project Management Department. This position is based in Bangalore.

About the Role:

The Manufacturing Technology Project Manager – APAC is responsible for leading and supporting the regional Operations strategy by driving the development, implementation, and standardization of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes for molded elastomer parts, O-rings, multi-component products, Rubber-to-Metal (R2M), Rubber-to-Plastic (R2P), Liquid Silicone Rubber-to-Plastic (LSR2P), plastic components, and other strategic manufacturing initiatives.

This role plays a key part in advancing the Process Development Center (PDC) concept by leading process innovation, conducting applied research, optimizing manufacturing processes, and aligning technology development with the product line strategy. The position focuses on identifying, evaluating, and implementing state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and operational excellence across the APAC region.

The role also ensures effective project management, process documentation, knowledge transfer, technical training, and the deployment of best practices to support global manufacturing standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies for rubber, plastics, and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR). Hands-on experience with injection molding, rubber over molding of plastic components, and multi-component manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven expertise in manufacturing process development, industrialization, and project management.
•  Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional manufacturing technology projects from concept through production implementation, ensuring successful execution and stakeholder alignment.
•  Experience with manufacturing process optimization, tooling development, automation, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Competencies:

• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in one or more Asian languages is considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams across the APAC region.
• Willingness to travel extensively to manufacturing sites across the APAC region and globally to support project implementation, supplier development, and operational excellence initiatives.
