Summary of the Role: 
A Buyer is tasked with efficiently managing the procurement of designated categories of raw materials across TSS Seattle, aiming to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomes. The Buyer is also responsible for upholding compliance with all purchasing related regulations and principles of the quality management system while actively participating in the establishment and upkeep of these systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Participation in Supply Review  
• Efficiently manage the purchase order process, from creation to fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials to meet production needs. 
• Ensure the purchased raw materials meet quality standards and collaborate with suppliers to address any quality issues promptly. 
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions. 
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels align with production schedules and customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. 
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards governing the procurement of raw materials, ensuring compliance with legal and industry requirements. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues or discrepancies. 
• Identify and assess risks with the supply chain, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate disruptions such as supply shortages or transportation delays. 
• Promote and adhere to ethical sourcing practices, considering sustainability, social responsibility, and environmental impact in procurement decisions. 
• Utilize analytical tools and software to analyze and interpret data related to inventory levels, procurement, production, and distribution. 
• Review and manage change requests from Production  
• Set-up and maintain system parameters to run the system as automatic as possible and to achieve good results. 
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment with overall business goals, escalations, etc. 
• Support transfer projects.  
• Ensure smooth phase-in of New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfers in collaboration between Sales and Manufacturing. 
• Actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement efforts, suggesting and implementing enhancements to planning processes and workflows. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

 Education and Experience: 

• Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain, information systems or related discipline required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing function in a distribution or logistics environment 
• Willing to travel up to 5% 
• Experience working with ERP systems, JD Edwards & SAP preferred  
• Experience working with PC and MS Office, especially Excel

Travel:

The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation packing, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility, will be outlined at the time of the job offer.

Compensation range: $80,000 - $100,000

Summary of the role 

The Regional Procurement Leader serves as the strategic procurement lead for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions (TSS) Operations Americas, driving procurement excellence across eight manufacturing sites with an annual expenditure exceeding $100 million. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of regional sourcing strategies across both direct and indirect categories, while ensuring alignment with global procurement objectives, supplier strategies, and operational priorities. As a key member of the TSS Global Manufacturing Support Team, the Regional Procurement Leader partners with site leadership, operational teams, and global procurement stakeholders to optimize cost, mitigate supply chain risk, strengthen supplier performance, and improve procurement processes. This position will report directly to the Regional Director of Americas.  The role acts as the primary regional counterpart for critical suppliers and strategic raw material categories, ensuring continuity of supply and long-term value creation. The primary focus of this position is to identify and capture enterprise-wide synergies, standardize procurement practices, and implement tools, processes, and governance that drive measurable business results. Through close collaboration with regional purchasing teams and global colleagues, the Regional Procurement Leader will enhance operational efficiency, support sustainable growth, and advance the organization's Purchasing Excellence objectives across the Americas.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Risk mitigation and- developing and maintaining supplier risk management frameworks and mitigation plans,
• Cost savings and value creation- map and analyze global spending for strategic commodities, develop and negotiate contracts with key suppliers, identify best practices and create efficiencies and templates
• Strategic Supplier Relationship Management- build relationships, set expectations through scorecards, drive innovation and continuous improvements with the supplier
• Sourcing projects – support local sites in the identification of opportunities and applying a systematic approach · Supplier Market development – Attend seminars, network with peers, work with other group purchasing teams to identify new suppliers and implement new initiatives
• Quality approvals – Document quality approvals necessary in Aero, Auto, Industrial
• Support TSS Manufacturing sites on PE related supply- and sourcing activities, to ensure stable supply
• Project Management driven approach with clear KPI mindset and time plan focus · Work with Group Purchasing to drive next steps in Trelleborg digital sourcing journey

Education and Experience

• 10 years + of relevant experience
• Degree level education
• Proficient contractual/legal skills
• Proficient Project Management skills
• Able to communicate with people at all levels of the business.
• International travel possible
• Completed or working towards a recognized Purchasing qualification: CIPS or equivalent

Compensation 

Compensation range:  $130,000 - $175,000

About the Role 

The Plant Purchaser secures the supply of direct and indirect materials and services for the plant at the right cost, quality and delivery performance. Your role translates production and sales demand into timely, accurate purchases, manages day-to-day supplier performance and protects uninterrupted plant operations, while working within agreed frame agreements, purchasing policies and approval limits. 

About your responsibilities

Purchasing and order management 

• Direct and indirect purchasing: Purchase raw materials, components, consumables and services for the plant in line with production requirements, agreed frame agreements and the purchasing policy. 
• Purchase orders: Create, release and track purchase orders in the ERP system; secure order confirmations and ensure accurate, timely delivery against agreed terms. 
• Expediting: Follow up open orders, manage delays proactively and agree recovery actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Commercial terms: Request and compare quotations, negotiate price, lead time and delivery terms within the defined approval limits, and escalate decisions above these limits. 

Supplier management 

• Supplier relationships: Act as the plant’s day-to-day contact for assigned suppliers and build effective working relationships. 
• Supplier performance: Monitor on-time delivery, quality and cost performance; address deviations, complaints and corrective actions together with Quality. 
• Supplier master data: Maintain accurate supplier, price and item master data in the ERP system and supplier database. 
• Sourcing support: Identify alternative sources and support supplier selection, onboarding and approval in alignment with BU / Group Purchasing. 

Material planning and inventory 

• Demand planning: Work with Production Planning, Sales and Finance to translate the production and sales outlook into material requirements and purchasing plans. 
• Inventory levels: Monitor stock levels and reorder parameters to meet production needs while minimising excess, slow-moving and obsolete inventory. 
• Inbound logistics: Coordinate inbound transport and delivery schedules with suppliers, forwarders and the warehouse. 

Supply risk and quality 

• Supply risk: Identify supply risks such as shortages, single sources, price volatility or transport disruptions, and propose and implement mitigation actions. 
• Material quality: Ensure purchased materials meet specifications and quality requirements in collaboration with the Quality team. 

Administration, reporting and compliance 

• Invoice matching: Support Finance in resolving price and quantity discrepancies between purchase orders, goods receipts and supplier invoices. 
• Documentation: Maintain complete and audit-ready purchasing records in line with internal controls. 
• Reporting: Report on purchasing activities, supplier performance, open orders and supply risks to the General Manager. 
• Compliance: Apply the Trelleborg Code of Conduct, purchasing policy, delegation of authority and relevant trade and customs requirements. 

What you bring

Essential 

• Completed vocational qualification or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 
• Business-fluent English and the local language of the site. 
• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain within a manufacturing environment. 
• Hands-on experience with direct material purchasing, purchase order management and supplier follow-up. 
• Experience in material planning and inventory control. 
• Exposure to international suppliers and logistics is an advantage. 

Desirable 

• Professional purchasing or supply chain certification (e.g. CIPS, NEVI, APICS / ASCM). 
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP).

This role monitors forecasts and inventory requirements, manages supplier performance, identifies and develops new supplier relationships, and drives cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations. Additionally, the Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement and inventory processes for age-restricted products, ensuring compliance with company requirements and regulatory guidelines while maintaining continuity of supply.

• Analyze purchasing trends, inventory performance, and supplier metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, certifications, and company requirements. 
• Coordinate the sourcing, inventory control, documentation, and supplier management activities associated with age-restricted materials.  
• Support new product launches, supplier transitions, and supply chain improvement projects. 
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within company systems.  
• Perform additional duties as assigned.  

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related discipline required. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, inventory planning, or supply chain management.  
• Experience developing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing agreements.  
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems required; SAP or JD Edwards preferred.  
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.  
• Experience managing inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supplier performance preferred.  
• Experience with regulated, controlled, or age-restricted products is preferred.
