1. Summary of the role

A Facility and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of an organization's facilities. Facility and Maintenance Supervisors ensure that their co-workers have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to the allotted budget.

2. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for facility renovation, include document preparation and site supervise
  • Organization of equipment maintenance system
  • Inspecting equipment/tooling and conducting routine maintenance.
  • Creation / Configuration of 1C for production
  • Writing work instructions for production staff
  • Participation in the organization of the production process
  • Organization of the equipment/tooling repair process
  • Introduction of TPM system (preventive and urgent repair)
  • Inspecting equipment/tooling and conducting routine maintenance.
  • Carry out repairs to all plants and equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Troubleshooting equipment/tooling malfunctions
  • Ensuring that work carried out complies with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Liaise with client departments, internal customers, and other engineering and production colleagues.
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
  • Improve health and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintaining manufacturing processes
  • Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required.
  • Operate maintenance Forklift Truck and Elevated Working Platform as required
  • Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary
  • Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults, and concerns to Supervisor
  • Make full use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Assist with the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment

3.  Education and Experience

  • Mechanical & Electrical based apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications
  • Extensive experience as a qualified maintenance/service engineer operating in an industrial environment
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  • Experience in manufacturing companies with a large amount of equipment.
  • Creation of equipment repair plans (budget and risk analysis)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards (fire, electrical, etc)
  • English – Confident in oral and written communication.

  • Providing support and recommendations

5. Key Interfaces and Stakeholders

The role will interface predominantly with the production engineering department. It will also have contact with the Technical Manager, Operations Manager, and General Manager.

6. Geography to cover and Travel requirements

The role will be site-based.

7. Personality

Good communicator able to explain issues and coach teams to put right, attention to detail to solve complex problems, tenacious to overcome multiple hurdles each day, pro-active and forward thinking to foresee issues and implement change, good team worker to share knowledge and ideas, integrity to lead be example.
