Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Tewkesbury has an exciting opportunity to join the business as a Manufacturing Operative. After a basic training period have the ability to work with limited supervision in producing parts in accordance with the Company’s Health And Safety and Quality procedures.
Hourly Rate: £15.67 ( £14.25 + 10% shift premium)
Shift Pattern:
Week 1 - 6am-2pm Monday to Friday
Week 2 - 2pm - 11:53pm Monday to Thursday
The idea candidate will have a flexible working approach, can contribute towards the team effort and is empowered to undertake work on their own initiative. You will carry out all operations as outlined on production paperwork, ensuring the machines are set correctly in order to comply with Company and Legislative Safety Laws, ensuring the maximum output is achieved per machine cycle, and any other duties deemed as necessary to meet the needs of company business. You will be required to contribute towards scrap reduction by eliminating waste, inspecting own parts, correct material usage and correct machine usage in order to achieve zero scrap.

Manage, verify and administer quality documentation generated in the order process to ensure compliance to contractual obligations for project execution and sales orders. The Quality Documentation Engineer is responsible for collecting all quality documentation as specified in the project or product/sales order inspection & test plan (ITP) from contract manufacturers (CM) or third-party suppliers. The Quality Documentation Engineer verifies the quality documentation against the specifications and escalates to project management (PM) in case of non-conformities (NC) by raising an NC in the NC system and administrating corresponding non-conformity reports (NCR). The Quality Documentation Engineer compiles specified quality documentation as per ITP into a manufacturer record book (MRB) in line with contractual requirements and documentation standards, submits it in time to PM and subsequently stores it in Engineering Documentation (ED) systems for future reference.
The Quality Documentation Engineer role is facilitative to the different Sales Organizations (PG’s), requiring consistency, structure, and professional maturity to plan, track, and deliver time-bound documentation commitments in an environment of engineered products, frequently supplied to large (infrastructural) projects. While the Quality Documentation Engineer is not technical or quality-authoritative, its deliverables are frequently linked to invoicing milestones, project completion schedules, and contractual deliverables, making it a critical part of our commercial and execution offering.

Summary of the Role:
The Customer Support Coordinator (CSC) is responsible for providing and achieving outstanding customer service and total satisfaction to existing and prospective customers while building positive customer relationships to help enable development of new business opportunities. The CSC is the foundation for customer support providing a source for initial contact for customers. The CSC is responsible for customer order and quote management to include contract review, price analysis, estimating, purchasing, delivery performance, and general reporting. Summary of the Role:

Meticulously documents all manufacturing process information and sequences within the site’s document control system
Identifies opportunities for improvement to existing processes and methods using data or observation, develops the improvements and implements them as quickly as practical
Collaborates with Engineering to measure and understand the effects of process changes
Makes improvements to production rates and reduces scrap by identifying and implementing new and better equipment, processes or human factor methods.
Assists Machining and Tooling departments in troubleshooting problems with individual components or processes to assure superior quality and on-time delivery of machined piece parts and tooling components
Assists CNC Programmers with creation and maintenance of tool libraries, post processor optimization, and CAM software customization and development of best practices
Participates in determination of product DMR disposition plan and approval with the production teams
Works safely and acts in accordance with all safely policies and procedures
Collaborates with Operations and quality in overall machining process and equipment improvements
Leads and participates in continuous improvement projects to support department and corporate goals

About the Job:
At our TSS Cadley Hill site, we manufacture hand-built Aircraft, Engine, and Airframe seals using a wide range of silicones, fabrics, and retaining metals. The moulding process involves hand fabricating silicones, fabrics, and metallic items into a part-specific mould tool, which is built to precise manufacturing specifications and loaded into a compression press to cure under pressure and heat, forming the final product.

Om vores stillinger i produktionen
Vores produktionsafdelinger arbejder med alt fra blanding af råmaterialer, formning af rør og drejning af tætninger på CNC-maskiner til vask, rens, kvalitetstjek og manuel efterbearbejdning af emner.
Arbejdsopgaver i afdelingerne:
Mould – rørproduktion
I Mould arbejdes der med vores råmaterialer i pulverform. Her blandes råmaterialerne i store spande, hvorefter pulveret, under højt tryk, presses til rør i både større og mindre formpressere. Efter rørene er blevet presset, sendes de til sintring, hvor de færdigproduceres i vores ovne. Arbejdsopgaverne kan inkludere tungere løft. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Mould består af:
Drej – drejning af tætninger
I Drej arbejdes der videre med de færdigproducerede rør, som her ved hjælp af CNC-maskiner drejes til vores højteknologiske tætninger. Vi kører alt fra enkeltstyksproduktion med mange omstillinger til højvolumenproduktion, hvorfor der er variation i det, der produceres. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Drej består af:
Efterbearbejdning – visuel inspektion, efterbearbejdning og pakning af ordrer
I Efterbearbejdningen foregår den sidste del af produktionsprocessen. Her foregår meget af arbejdet ved manuel og visuel inspektion af tætningerne, men nogle emner kan også have behov for særlig efterbearbejdning i form af vask eller ved, at der laves særlige spor eller huller i tætningerne. Når produkterne er visuelt kontrolleret, skal de pakkes efter ordrernes anvisninger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Efterbearbejdningen består af:
QC – kvalitetssikring af produkter før, under og efter produktion
I Quality Control er kvalitet af højeste prioritet. Her kvalitetssikres vores produkter både før, under og efter produktion, og det er QCs ansvar at sørge for, at vores produkter overholder de kvalitetsstandarder, vi lover vores kunder. QC har en bred kontaktflade, og du skal derfor trives i en udadvendt rolle samt være god til at samarbejde og kommunikere med kolleger på tværs af afdelinger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i QC består af:
Vores produktion kører døgnet rundt, og du vil derfor få mulighed for at arbejde i fast skift fra mandag til fredag på enten dag-, aften- eller nathold. Det er dog sjældent, at vi får ledige stillinger på daghold. Uanset hvilket hold du bliver en del af, sørger vi naturligvis for grundig oplæring og løbende udvikling, så du bliver godt klædt på til opgaven.

For os er det ikke så vigtigt, hvad du tidligere har arbejdet med, eller hvilken uddannelsesmæssig baggrund du har – vi tror nemlig på, at hvis man har evnerne og den rette indstilling, vilje og gå-på-mod, så kan resten tillæres. Det vil dog være en fordel, hvis du har en faglig relevant uddannelse, eller hvis du har relevant erfaring fra tidligere beskæftigelse.
For at vi fortsat kan bibeholde en verdensklasseproduktion, er det et krav, at du er grundig, kvalitetsbevidst og aldrig går på kompromis med kvaliteten.
