About the Job

The Sales Manager SEA - Gas Transfer is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable sales growth for Safety Links and Transfer Systems across South East Asia region predominantly. Your role focuses on ship and terminal owners and operators, and plays a key role in early engagement and specification activities to ensure Trelleborg solutions are specified and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Your role covers newbuild, retrofit, obsolescence and replacement, crew training, operational optimization, and after-sales services.

About your responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance in line with agreed targets and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and manage relationships with shipowners, ship operators, and terminal owners in close co-ordination with Trelleborg colleagues globally, to ensure all opportunities are captured and customers are managed on a consistent basis across their locations worldwide.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage sales opportunities from early engagement through order intake.
  • Influence technical specifications during concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • Protect specifications during shipyard execution and manage risks of deviation.
  • Prepare and issue quotations and commercial proposals through co-ordination with Applications Engineering (Subject Matter Experts) in order to effectively translate customer requirements into proposals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely registration of opportunities, quotations, and activities in CRM
  • Organize and deliver customer seminars, technical presentations, and crew training.
  • Coordinate with Application Engineering, Customer Service, and Project Management teams to manage client requirements, expectations and relay feedback in an effective manner from customers
  • Ensure compliance with Trelleborg Sales & Legal Guidelines in every task and responsibility, ranging from Due Diligence on Terms & Conditions through to Sales Contract Review & Project Handovers.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, or comparable discipline.
  • Proven experience in technical B2B sales within maritime, LNG, offshore, or terminal environments.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfort with approximately 30-50% international travel in addition to significant travel across South East Asia
