As Business Controller Europe Europe, you will play a key role within our Medical Device Europe leadership team. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide financial leadership across our commercial and manufacturing operations, helping drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and informed decision-making.
Your Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Business Unit President and Leadership Team as the lead finance business partner
- Drive business performance through insightful financial analysis and actionable recommendations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and long-range financial planning activities
- Monitor and optimize revenue, profitability, gross margins, operating expenses, and cash flow
- Support commercial teams with pricing analysis, customer profitability assessments, and growth initiatives
- Provide financial leadership to manufacturing and operations teams
- Lead plant controlling activities, including:
- Product and standard costing
- Manufacturing variance analysis
- Inventory valuation and control
- Cost reduction and productivity initiatives
- Capital expenditure evaluation and business case development
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and financial close processes
- Support statutory reporting, audits, compliance, and internal controls
- Drive improvements in working capital, finance processes, automation, and reporting efficiency
- Contribute to business transformation and operational excellence initiatives
- Build and develop finance capabilities to support future organizational growth.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent
- 8+ years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or business partnering roles
- Solid experience within manufacturing and commercial business environments
- Proven track record partnering with senior business leaders and influencing decision-making
- Strong knowledge of:
- Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
- Controlling and business performance management
- Manufacturing finance and plant controlling
- Cost accounting and inventory management
- Internal controls, compliance, and financial governance
- Experience working within multinational matrix organizations
- Strong ERP and financial systems experience
- Fluent English communication skills; additional European languages are an advantage
