Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance across rubber and fabrication operations. The role oversees quality inspections, testing, audits, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and inspection procedures.
- Monitor raw material, in-process, and final product quality.
- Lead and manage QC inspectors, lab technicians, and quality teams.
- Handle customer complaints, audits, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF, and other applicable standards.
- Oversee laboratory testing, equipment calibration, and test reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement through CAPA, root cause analysis, and quality initiatives.
- Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to improve processes and product quality.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Rubber Technology, Quality Management, or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in quality control within rubber, fabrication, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods, testing standards, and quality systems.
- Experience managing audits, customer complaints, and quality teams.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 7 QC Tools, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in rubber manufacturing and fabrication environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related quality standards.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong customer-facing and audit management experience.
- Advanced reporting, data analysis, and process improvement capabilities.
