Role Summary
Responsible for managing end-to-end domestic and international logistics operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of raw materials, imported goods, machinery, and finished products. The role coordinates with internal teams, logistics partners, customs authorities, and freight forwarders to support smooth manufacturing and customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments.
- Plan logistics activities as per production schedules, material requirements, and customer commitments.
- Coordinate imports, exports, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and transportation.
- Ensure accurate preparation and compliance of EXIM documentation.
- Liaise with CHA, customs authorities, transporters, shipping lines, and freight forwarders.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve delays, bottlenecks, and logistics issues.
- Control logistics costs and evaluate logistics service providers.
- Track logistics KPIs and drive process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, GST, E-way Bill, and trade policies.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Stores, Production, Sales, Finance, and Projects teams.
Education & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in logistics, EXIM, or supply chain operations within manufacturing/engineering industries.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office.
