Job Summary
The Production Manager will oversee fabrication operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and project timelines are consistently achieved. The role is responsible for managing manpower, optimizing resources, and coordinating with cross-functional teams for smooth production execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Monitor fabrication activities and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, welding procedures, and fabrication processes.
- Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors, welders, and fitters.
- Enforce safety practices and regulatory compliance across operations.
- Coordinate with planning, design, stores, and logistics teams.
- Prepare production reports and provide progress updates to management.
Required Skills & Experience
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Fabrication Engineering.
- 8-12 years of experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding standards, and production planning.
- Experience managing production teams and meeting project deadlines.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fabrication yards or heavy engineering industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Exposure to quality management systems and client inspections.
- Strong analytical and resource optimization capabilities
