We are looking for SAP Business Analyst Data Migrations to join our IT Innovation Campus at Bangalore location. The position will be responsible for delivering end-to-end migration of master and transactional data from legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA. The role translates business requirements into source-to-target mappings and technical solutions, develops and executes reusable ETL and data load processes, and coordinates data cleansing, validation, testing, reconciliation, cutover, and post-load issue resolution with business, functional, and technical teams. The analyst must ensure that migrated data is complete, accurate, and available within agreed project timelines, while maintaining clear technical documentation and supporting knowledge transfer. The role requires at least six years of relevant SAP S4 HANA data migration experience and strong knowledge of SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit, SAP Load methodologies, LSMW, LTMC.
Your Responsibilities
- Experience in SAP Data migration implementation for master and transactional data from legacy ERP systems into SAP S/4 HANA
- Analyze legacy data structures, define source-to-target mappings, assess business requirements, and create mapping rules for SAP Data Objects
- Collaborate with the business teams to gather requirements, to drive data cleansing and data enrichment activities
- Develop robust and reusable programs with SAP Data Services (BODS), Migration Cockpit, LSMW
- Good functional knowledge in any SAP modules like MM, SD, PP, FICO
- Participate in planning the data migration cycles considering data object dependencies, ensure adequate test scenarios, and support the creation of corresponding cutover plans
- Oversee data migration execution, implement performance optimizations, conduct root cause analysis, perform post-load evaluations, and generate reports
- Develop technical specifications, prepare data mapping documents, create application manuals, and training materials
- Basic experience in ABAP coding and debugging is beneficial
What You'll Bring
- Degree in an IT-related discipline, e.g. Information Technology, Informatics, Business, and or equivalent
- 6+ years of relevant experience with SAP data migration projects, ideally S/4 HANA, using professional ETL-Tools such as BODS, LTMC, SAP Fiori apps, LSMW
- Develops ETL routines in SAP data services to perform extract, transform, load, reconcile & de-duplication
- Knowledge of Load routines in SAP including IDoc, BAPI/Function Modules, LSMW, Migration Cockpit, error root cause identification, debugging.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP Migration Object Modeler and the design of custom migration objects
- Good understanding of SAP data structures and business processes, in Sales, Logistics/Production, and/or Finance/Controlling
- Advanced SQL and SQL Script knowledge, and at least basic programming experience in ABAP and debugging
