About the Job
Quality Technicians are responsible for all IMTEs in the facility, including controlling calibration and maintenance activities. They also have primary responsibility for automatic visual inspection machines, performing troubleshooting and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
1. Management of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IMTEs):
- Stability Control: Conduct daily, weekly, and shift-based stability checks (first-level calibration) for all IMT-E devices located in the quality department.
- Calibration Oversight: Execute regular calibration schedules for all IMTE devices to maintain measurement accuracy and compliance.
- Technical Support: Analyze and review measurement data to provide technical guidance to Quality Operators, ensuring all quality requirements are met.
- Inventory Management: Manage and control the inventory of spare parts for all IMTE equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Perform initial technical troubleshooting of IMTE devices prior to escalating issues to third-party service providers.
- Laboratory Organization: Manage laboratory equipment, tools, spare parts, and test sample storage. Conduct incoming material testing and approval for mass production release. Supervise laboratory operators, provide training, prepare and update laboratory Work Instructions (WI), and perform laboratory testing activities as needed, including coverage during employee absences
2. Automatic Visual Inspection (AVI) Machine Operations:
- System Configuration: Program and configure settings for AVI machines to meet quality standards.
- Operational Reliability: Perform routine checks to verify the stable and reliable operation of AVI systems.
- Issue Resolution: Handle initial troubleshooting for AVI machines to minimize downtime.
- OEE & Performance: Monitor, analyze, and report on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maintain and improve machine performance
- Maintenance: Control and maintain the necessary spare parts for AVI machinery.
3. General Responsibilities:
- Execute additional tasks and follow instructions as directed by the Quality Control Supervisor
About the Ideal Candidate
- Background: Technical background with an intermediate degree or higher.
- Experience: Prior experience within quality functions, automation inspection machines or laboratory environment is highly preferred
