We are looking for System Analyst is responsible for providing technical support for applications, tools, and systems assigned to the role. The primary business-critical application currently in use is JDE World Software A7.3 Cum 6 for APAC (BUSAK1) and Cum12 for Europe, operating in “Display Only” mode.
The role involves performing technical analysis of business requests and issue resolution in close collaboration with the Business Analyst team. Change Requests will be managed through the defined process, with activities planned and executed according to the applicable roles and responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining technical documentation with a strong focus on quality standards and audit compliance requirements. The role also requires coordination with external vendors regarding technical updates, enhancements, and system/application releases.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business requirements and organizational goals. The role will also support other iSeries applications, including BPCS, across Trelleborg sites.
Your Responsibilities:
- Take technical responsibility for assigned applications and systems such as iSeries and Anton.
- Create and maintain User Requests while ensuring compliance with audit rules, approvals, and traceability requirements.
- Perform refresh activities for test systems such as BUSAK1 (APAC) and other assigned applications.
- Follow development standards using Development, Test, and Live systems wherever applicable.
- Implement, maintain, develop, and monitor assigned systems, ensuring they remain updated with vendor-recommended releases and versions.
- Implement, maintain, develop, and monitor assigned applications and tools, keeping them updated as per vendor recommendations.
- Support Business teams and Business Analysts in analyzing requests, incidents, and preparing technical proposals.
- Develop approved solutions, enhancements, and changes to address incidents and business requests.
- Conduct functional and technical testing for implemented solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts during enhanced testing activities to achieve expected outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements by maintaining proper documentation and traceability.
- Create and maintain all required technical documentation.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Deliver solutions within agreed timelines and proactively communicate progress updates to management.
- Inform management in advance about any risks or delays to support necessary planning and corrective actions.
- Monitor periodic tasks such as daily, weekly, and monthly activities through monitoring tools.
- Monitor backup activities and support restore/recovery operations.
- Support security concepts, release upgrades, and related maintenance activities.
- Maintain and enhance periodic runtime and sleeper functions.
- Monitor operations and communication between systems, including EDI and other interfaces, and implement enhancements to avoid downtime and ensure process continuity.
- Support Run & Maintain teams and Business Analysts across Europe and APAC for Service Desk activities, projects, and business requests.
- Coordinate with external support teams (DMZ/DMS) for IBM iSeries-related issues, including hardware support.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Developer-Skill (RPG, Control-Language, Query, SQL, Java ...)
- In depth knowledge of (ERP, Tools) systems
- High level of intellect educated to degree level during business practice
- In depth knowledge of (ERP, Tools) systems
- Multitasking to drive several tasks / projects in parallel
- Min. 8-10 years of experience in technical analyst and developing
- Understanding of industrial/commercial business processes (Sales, Distribution and Finance)
- Affinity to improvement projects in a highly complex corporate application environment (international beneficial)
