The Role
At our Helsingør site, we are looking for a Product Manager who can bridge market needs and factory capabilities to deliver profitable, sustainable growth. As Product Manager, you will work cross-functionally within the group and share responsibility for everything from market positioning and pricing to technical feasibility and manufacturing execution. You serve as both the commercial and technical anchor within the factory, making sure that customer requirements, product strategy, and operational realities are completely aligned.
The department consists of an engineering team and a documentation group, which handles drawings and master data, totaling 13 people.
You will report to the General Manager in Helsingør, with a dotted line to the Product Line Director, and work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance in a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Market Leadership
- Own and develop the local product portfolio, ensuring alignment with global product line strategies and target market needs
- Act as the voice of the customer within the factory, translating market, segment, and customer requirements into clear product and capability priorities
- Lead RFQ evaluation, prioritization, and costing, ensuring focus on factory strengths, competitiveness, and profitability
- Develop and support pricing strategies and business cases, including margin analysis, investment payback, and risk assessment
- Manage the opportunity pipeline and KPIs (quoted projects, response time, win/loss performance) to drive disciplined commercial execution
Technical & Operational Interface
- Serve as the key link between Sales and Manufacturing, ensuring clear communication on product positioning, lead times, materials, and technical solutions
- Lead new customer and new product projects from RFQ through SOP, coordinating engineering, operations, and external stakeholders
- Drive product costing, working hands‑on with engineering, operations, and finance to ensure transparency and accuracy
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency, and portfolio rationalization
- Act as factory lead for new product development (NPI) and support technical product training for internal teams and customers
Your Background
To succeed in this role, you bring a strong educational foundation and relevant experience. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent) and have 5–10 years’ experience in product management, NPI, or business development within a manufacturing environment. You bring strong commercial exposure, including pricing, margin management, and business planning, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and product costing methods. You are able to read and interpret technical drawings and engage credibly with engineering and operations teams. You have experience operating effectively in a matrix organization and influencing across functions and cultures. You are fluent in spoken and written English and are a confident cross‑cultural communicator.
