We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Advisor to join our Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering a great employee experience and supporting both managers and employees across the full HR lifecycle.

In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for HR-related matters, ensure smooth HR operations, and contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

What you'll be doing:

HR Administration

  • Manage HR administration across the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding documentation, probation reviews, and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
  • Administer HR systems for performance appraisals and engagement surveys.
  • Support payroll with monthly and weekly changes, ensuring accuracy of HR data.
  • Produce HR reports and key metrics such as turnover, absence and training compliance.
  • Coordinate employee benefits programmes and support annual renewals.

HR Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and general employment queries.
  • Respond to questions related to absence, family-friendly policies, performance expectations and HR systems.
  • Escalate complex cases to the HR Business Partner when needed.

Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance on informal and low-level ER issues including short-term absence, conduct and performance matters.
  • Support managers during informal investigations and disciplinary or grievance meetings.
  • Take accurate minutes and ensure ER cases are documented and progressed in line with best practice.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support recruitment administration, including role advertising, applicant screening, interview coordination and contract preparation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and ensure new employees have a smooth and engaging start.
  • Support managers in delivering induction programmes and probation processes.

HR Projects, Process Improvement & GDPR Compliance

  • Contribute to HR system enhancements and process optimisation.
  • Support wider HR projects such as engagement activities, training programmes and policy updates.
  • Monitor GDPR compliance, including data retention, audit trails and documentation quality.
  • Support GDPR training and awareness within the HR function.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in HR administration or advisory roles.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes, policies and employment legislation.
  • Experience handling first‑line HR queries and low-level ER cases.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience maintaining HR data and using systems for appraisals and engagement surveys.
  • Understanding of GDPR principles within an HR environment.
  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards); Level 5 is an advantage.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting payroll or GDPR compliance processes.
  • Approachable, professional and service-oriented attitude
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering a high-quality HR service.

Our benefits for you:

  • Flexible holiday arrangements that support your work–life balance.
  • Employee wellbeing support, including access to a wellbeing garden and the UNUM help@hand programs (free GP, health, mental‑health and wellbeing services).
  • Company‑funded benefits, such as free eye tests, annual glasses prescription, uniforms and PPE.
  • Career growth and development, supported by a structured grading system and opportunities to progress in a growing industry.
  • Engaging workplace culture, with regular employee events, recognition programs, and a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
  • Additional perks, such as a gym membership contribution, onsite canteen facilities, and a Christmas shutdown.
