About the Job

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Product Engineer to join our Trelleborg Sealing Solutions - Bridgwater (TSSB) Product Engineering Team. You will work within a multidisciplinary group of product engineers, test engineers and planning specialists to develop technical solutions for a wide range of customer applications.  In this role, you will design both standard and bespoke sealing products, provide expert technical support across the business, and lead the engineering aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI). You will also collaborate closely with commercial, operational and supply chain teams to ensure successful project delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Produce proposal and manufacturing drawings for metal and PTFE sealing solutions.
  • Provide technical support and training to Sales and Application Engineers.
  • Support customer visits and help identify new sales opportunities.
  • Compile and manage technical and commercial proposals.
  • Deliver technical presentations and support product promotion activities.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives including trade shows, customer meetings and promotional materials.
  • Contribute to NPI projects, including design justification and technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For...

  • Education & Experience Degree or equivalent qualification with strong engineering fundamentals.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Experience in sealing technology is advantageous, but backgrounds in Oil & Gas, Food Processing, Automotive, Aerospace, Compressors or Semiconductor industries are also valued.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, CAD software (NX preferred) and FEA tools (Abaqus preferred).
  • Effective communicator both internally and with customers Resourceful, adaptable and able to work around challenges.
  • Excellent time‑management and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with initiative and a structured approach.

Geography to cover and Travel Requirements

  • Based on site at Bridgwater.
  • Travel as required within the UK.  International travel may be required for training and infrequently to visit suppliers or other Trelleborg sites.
  • Must have proof of right to work in the UK.

This position is based on-site at Bridgwater. Trelleborg must ensure that anyone we’re looking to employ is legally allowed to work in the UK before their employment begins.
