We're looking for Shift Leader, where you'll be responsible for ensuring parts are manufactured to the required quality standard at the required output level and by the required date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure work is distributed effectively to subordinates in line with unit administration guidelines.
- Ensure product is manufactured in accordance with relevant documentation and processes are set to meet required quality
- Ensure all required documentation is compiled in accordance with procedures.
- Monitor productivity measures report and action any deviations from targets
- Monitor product quality, feedback to operatives, report deviations and assist in problem solving.
- Assist Unit administration in evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and report any machinery or instrument which is outside specification, overdue on calibration or is considered to be a Health and safety hazard.
- Ensure all operatives wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ensure work environment is in accordance with 5S standards.
- Ensure rules and regulations are adhered to by all employees.
- Compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and responsible for reporting any hazards and/or incidents.
- Lead and promote a culture of safety and environmental sustainability at the workplace as well as ensuring the protection of workers from retaliation when reporting hazards and/or incidents.
What we are looking for:
- Secondary level of education
- Good knowledge of shop floor practices
- Leadership and motivational skills
- English and Maltese proficiency is an asset.
