About the Job
The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining, organizing, verifying, and transporting materials and supplies per production schedule/orders. The Material Handler is responsible for executing all shipping and receiving functions, including loading/unloading trucks and using SAP to transact materials.
Responsibilities
- Conform to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Load/unload trucks and store/move materials using a forklift or other equipment.
- Use SAP to transact materials.
- Print and apply labels.
- Sorts and stage items according to production needs.
- Maintain appropriate documentation.
- Partner with other departments to determine inflow of materials.
- Attend production meetings as required.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operator role highly preferred
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Basic math and computer skills
- Experience reading and understanding specifications, SOP’s, and other work instructions.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
