Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a financial controller (m/f/d) to join their team. This position will be based on-site in Stein Am Rhein, Switzerland and reports to the BU Finance Director Medical Device Europe
The financial controller oversees the full spectrum of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, AR/AP and internal controls. In this role, you will drive continuous improvements across financial processes, implement robust accounting policies, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. You will be a key partner to the business, supporting operational decision making.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute the activities of the Accounting Department, including monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
- Own the European invoicing hub, including centralized AR,billing, cash application and credit management
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting and audit preparation
- Maintain and analyze the cost accounting system
- Oversee and execute Accounts Payable processes
- Ensure tax and VAT compliance and timely filings
- Provide financial insights and forecasts to support decision-making
- Drive process improvements in collaboration with the Plant Manager
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance at the site
- Conduct inventory counts and fixed asset audits
- Recruit, supervise and develop the Accounting team
✅ Education and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting/controlling
- Manufacturing and cost accounting experience is a strong plus
- Leadership experience is a strong plus
- JDE knowledge is preferred, but not required

- Strong English skills; German preferred
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and collaboration mindset
- IFRS knowledge and hands-on application experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based systems
- Customer-focused, improvement-driven, reliable and deadline‑oriented
