Tasks and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a scalable growth strategy for the Vietnam factory, prioritizing production capacity expansion and cost optimization; align factory objectives with Trelleborg’s global vision, ensuring readiness for market demands.
Operational Oversight: Oversee end-to-end production processes, ensuring seamless integration of machinery, workflows, and workforce training; achieve rapid ramp-up of output volumes while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Internal Collaboration: Work with Sales and Supply Chain to ensure smooth customer adoption and satisfaction, driving profitable growth for the plant.
Financial Management: Deliver profitability through expansion of production scale, cost control, waste reduction, and efficiency gains; monitor budget adherence and allocate resources to high-impact initiatives.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team across production, quality, supply chain, and EHS; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance: Maintain ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality standards from inception; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions to minimize defects.
Supply Chain Management: Develop local supplier networks to reduce lead times and costs; optimize inventory levels to balance production needs and working capital.
Compliance and Safety: Cultivate a safe workplace by promoting adherence to health and safety protocols, ensuring employee well-being and regulatory compliance.
Employee Engagement: Drive positive employee engagement outcomes, taking proactive steps to enhance morale, productivity, and retention.
Reporting and Communication: Regularly report to the BU President and executive team, while effectively communicating organizational objectives and progress across all employee levels.
Education and Experience
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Mechanical, Electronics, or Chemical engineering is a must; related degrees are acceptable. Preference goes to those with a master's or above, showing deeper expertise and strategic thinking ability.
Work Experience: 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, including 5+ years managing greenfield or expansion projects, with a proven track record of scaling production volumes from pilot to full-scale in the rubber or polymer industries.
Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in rubber sealing products, covering material science, molding processes, and market applications.
Operational Management Experience: Hands-on involvement in plant commissioning, lean manufacturing, and automation to enhance efficiency and quality.
Communication Skills: Fluent in English (verbal and written), capable of effectively liaising with global stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, suppliers, and senior leadership.
