About the Job

As a Junior Firmware Developer you will assist in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining embedded software for electronic products. This involves close collaboration with hardware and production teams to ensure seamless integration and reliable performance. You should have a solid understanding of microcontroller programming, hardware interfaces, and basic electronics principles. This position offers hands-on experience in developing robust, production-ready firmware under the guidance of senior engineers.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Develop and modify embedded software components in C/C++ based on defined requirements.
Support the integration of firmware with hardware platforms, peripherals (sensors, actuators, communication modules), and communication interfaces (e.g., I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, WiFi, etc.).
Participate in firmware debugging, optimization, and performance improvement activities.
Contribute to prototype testing and product validation alongside hardware.
Work closely with senior developers to understand design intent and architectural requirements.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to troubleshoot system-level issues during development and validation phases

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
1-3 years of experience

Competencies

Experience with embedded C / C++ Programming skills
Foundational understanding of embedded system and low-level hardware programming.
Electronics knowledge - Understanding of circuits, schematics, and electrical characteristics affecting firmware behavior.
Proficiency in using IDEs, debuggers, oscilloscopes, and simulators to troubleshoot firmware issues.

Preferred

Experience with ARM-Cortex-M microcontrollers
Knowledge of PCB design
Familiar with the end-to-end process of developing electronic products, including prototype bring-up, hardware validation, design for manufacturability (DFM), and production testing.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and testing considerations (EMC, Safety, RF compliance, etc.). Support process with technical data, test firmware, and documentation.
