About the Job
The Operations Lead is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Machine Operators to consistently achieve operational excellence. The Operations Lead is required to set a good example for employees by following and enforcing company safety policies to always promote safe work practices. The Operations Lead will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage their team to perform at a high level of excellence.Responsibilities
- Operating a large and complex machine from a central control panel while coordinating/helping other team members in support activities
- Executing processes that strictly adhere to company standards and guidelines
- Monitoring and evaluating production outcomes to determine areas for improvement and successfully implement corrective actions
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of production processes within the broader manufacturing operations
- Conducting regular training sessions to ensure team members are knowledgeable about standard methodologies and safety protocols
- Responsible for new hire evaluations, 30/60/90 and annual reviews
- Maintaining meticulous records of process parameters, production data, and quality control metrics
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to production applications to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations and standards
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing environment, with a track record of achieving outstanding results
- Experience with SAP preferred but not required
- Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Successful candidate will have strengths in the following:
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration across teams.
- Technical proficiency with computer-based machine control systems and other typical applications (i.e. MS Office)
- A dedication to upholding high safety and quality standards in all aspects of the job.
