About the Job

As our new Regional Business Development Manager (APAC), you will lead business development, sales, and marketing efforts across the APAC region—primarily Southeast Asia (excluding China)—from our formal office location in Singapore. You will be instrumental in identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and positioning Trelleborg as a preferred solutions provider in emerging infrastructure markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and executing regional sales strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Planning and attending conferences, seminars, and local advertising initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with consultants, engineers, contractors, and industry bodies.
  • Monitoring market dynamics and competitor activities.
  • Generating and converting leads into opportunities and sales orders.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to deliver high-quality proposals.
  • Ensuring accurate CRM data entry and seamless project handovers.
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and innovation initiatives.
  • Reporting monthly on regional activities, sales pipeline, and client feedback.

About the Ideal Candidate

You are a proactive and self-reliant professional with a strong technical and commercial background. You thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about driving growth through strategic partnerships and solution-based selling.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or project roles within industrial manufacturing or engineered solutions.
  • Strong technical understanding, ideally with a background in engineering (HTS or Technical University).
  • Proven success in complex, project-driven sales environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Marine, Offshore Energy, or Underground Construction sectors.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Key Competencies:
  • Relationship building and stakeholder communication.
  • Sales acumen, negotiation, and commercial management.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability.
  • High cultural awareness and time-management skills.
  • Ethical conduct and professional integrity.
Travel Requirements:
This role involves significant travel—approximately 30–50% of the year—across client offices, sites, conferences, and seminars throughout the APAC region.
