As a Project Engineer, you will manage quotation requests, coordinate with customers and sales offices, and ensure exceptional service delivery. You'll assess the feasibility of new projects, contribute to Process Flow decisions, and facilitate a smooth production handoff. Gain insights into end-user applications and market dynamics while enhancing the manufacturing knowledge of our global sales team through international travel. Handle ad hoc projects and ensure compliance with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards and report any safety hazards or incidents promptly to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage new item requests for quotations, coordinating with customers, sales offices, and internal teams to deliver excellent service.
- Evaluate the technical and manufacturing feasibility of customer projects from concept to submission, and participate in Process Flow decisions.
- Manage new customer projects, working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure a smooth transition to production.
- Enhance market intelligence and manufacturing knowledge within the sales organization, including international travel.
- Ensure compliance with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards, reporting any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
What we are looking for:
- Required: Degree level of Education at MQF Level 6 in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s level in Engineering or Management considered an asset, but not compulsory.
- Desired: 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt training.
- Competent in Microsoft Office package and experience using Engineering design packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Siemens NX or other.
