As Senior Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will involve promoting and selling Trelleborg Sealing Solutions products that will meet customers’ needs. The individual will analyze customers commercial & technical needs, apply sales excellence concepts, to achieve sales and profit targets in Malaysia. In addition, the individual will support marketing efforts and seek new product and customer opportunities. The position demands passion for continuous learning, good foundation in technical knowledge. The individual is responsible for engaging customers, as well as developing new prospective target accounts to generate new business opportunities in key target segments (Oil & Gas, Fluidpower, Semiconductor). 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Sales Growth and Profitability in assigned territory.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts to support and grow current business, generate new business opportunities.
  • Pursue sales leads - Identify, research, and develop prospective target new customers that will generate future sales and repeat business.
  • Provide timely market feedback, customer trends and information for marketing.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, negotiate prices and delivery times, and win sales orders to meet sales targets.
  • Ensure sales, customer service, supply chain, manufacturing and quality control are aligned to ensure proper customer-centric account management.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering/ Science.
  • More than 5 years of work experience in sales or technical in the industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of rubber/plastic products, seals and bearings is beneficial.
  • Application knowledge within specific segments is an advantage (ie Automotive, Fluidpower, Semiconductor).

  • Independent, works with right sense of urgency, high level of commitment, drive & resourcefulness.
