About the Job

Lead all aspects of sales activities for industrial hoses in the district, managing customers, growing Share of Wallet, and improving pricing and profitability.

Task and Responsibilities:

  • New customer acquisition on a Distribution, OEM, and End User level (Hunting)
  • Customer management (Farming)
  • Deploy the Vision into annual Business Plans
  • Effectively managing and developing the customers within your responsibility in order to achieve approved targets and align with company policies
  • Mentor & guide the Customer network
  • Provide actively Market Intelligence information to the Organization
  • Continuously Optimize pricing and pocket margin
  • Ensuring that company processes, systems, and tools are used accurately and consistently.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to drive and support the customer network.
  • Excellent market intelligence capabilities, actively gathering and providing insights to the organization.
  • Expertise in pricing strategy and margin optimization to improve profitability.
  • Proficiency in applying company processes, systems, and tools.

Education & Experience:

  • University or college degree (engineering or business related)
  • Proven experience in Sales, preferably in the Rubber Business (more than 5 years)
  • Experience in marketing would be preferable
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural, international business environment
  • Proficient in German and English

Competences:

We are looking for a professional who excels in providing excellent customer happiness by understanding and effectively communicating customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the German Distribution, OEM, and End User markets, as well as expertise in industrial hoses.

Effective networking and collaboration skills are crucial for working with internal collaborators and service providers. Proficiency in data analysis using Excel and a solid understanding of production plants are necessary. The candidate should also have experience with dynamic pricing principles and strong management presentation skills.

Geography to cover and travel requirement:

  • Based in the North of Germany, preferred
  • Home office based
  • Frequent travel to customers in the district and manufacturing plants
  • Out of office hours working as needed
