We are about 300 dedicated colleagues at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Helsingør, specializing in the development and production of sealing solutions for high-tech companies. What does the position entail?
As a Category Manager, you will be an integral part of Supply Chain Management, working closely with various global stakeholders. We are currently developing our Category Management function, and you will be responsible for procurement agreements while also liaising with global sites and organizations to support this initiative. Given that this is a newly established role, your responsibilities will include daily tasks such as placing orders and ensuring accurate master data to assist the existing procurement team.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Analysing consumption, forecasting future needs, and converting such data into contractual agreements
- Lead negotiations, nominate suppliers and establishing both local and global contracts or business agreements with suppliers
- Develop and implement supplier strategy for all suppliers within responsibility and drive supplier performance
- Lead an effective supplier relationship management acting as the TSS key account and drive supplier development activities
- Accelerate cost-down impact from suppliers driving and executing a sustainable savings pipeline across all leavers while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Analysing market trends and seeking alternative suppliers
- Preparing RFQs where we see such opportunities
- Working with risks related to supply and availability and making plans for mitigating actions
- Reviewing safety stock and reorder points to match agreements and commitments made with suppliers
- Reporting progress and KPIs within Procurement performance
- Understand TSS business needs and the commodity market impacts
Who are you?
We seek a person with strong negotiation skills and a sharp focus on quality. You should be thorough, proactive, and work analytically and systematically. Fluent communication in Danish and English, both written and spoken, is required. At least 10 years of experience in a similar role and expertise in building Category Management are essential.
- 5+ years of category management experience and strong commercial understanding
- A Bachelor’s degree within engineering or business
