About the Job
Join our Data & Analytics Competence Center as we expand our capabilities in data management and analytics. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing our Azure-based Enterprise Data Platform. As an Azure Data Engineer at Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, your primary responsibility is to ensure the architectural integrity and operational efficiency of our data solutions. You will leverage Microsoft solutions to build and maintain a robust data platform (data warehouse & Lakehouse) that supports our strategic business objectives. Your technical skills will directly influence our business intelligence capabilities and decision-making processes.
Occasional international travel is required to align with our project and team needs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the Enterprise Data Platform using Azure Synapse/databricks.
- Collaborate with IT teams and project stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data solutions.
- Design and implement data models and ETL processes, ensuring high standards of data quality and integrity.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
- Stay updated of advancements in cloud technologies and data management best practices.
- Engage in performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure scalable solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by contributing to project planning and technology risk assessments.
What You'll Bring
As the ideal candidate, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being a plus. You bring at least 2-4 years of experience in SQL Server and expertise in Azure Data Factory, T-SQL, PySpark, databricks and data warehousing or Lakehouse concepts. Your track record demonstrates a deep understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and cloud-based solutions within the Azure ecosystem.
You are not just technically proficient; you are also a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in spoken and written English comes naturally to you. Your ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams sets you apart.
