We work with consultants and end users on a project-by-project basis to determine best-fit solutions and supply fully integrated systems to fulfill even the most demanding specifications. Trelleborg Westbury Limited manufacture and supply Breakaway Couplings, KLAW LNG Transfer Systems and associated equipment for the safe transfer of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in the Oil, Gas and Petro-Chemical Industries.

About the job:

The Internal Applications Engineer is a key role within the growing Sales Team. You will be responsible for internal technical enquiries and supporting members of the Customer Services Team by reviewing engineering specifications and quotations before they are sent. In addition, you will be required to review orders received to ensure they are technically correct before internal processing. You will also be expected to also raise quotations and respond to internal and external day-to-day technical questions. You will report to the Sales Director. The main office & production facility is based in Westbury, Wiltshire, UK.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Assist with the preparation/processing and management of all technical documentation related to pre and post activities within the LNG systems, commissioning and servicing function.
  • Prepare technical quotations and advance orders received via customer services activities to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Manage incoming enquiries and convert to quotations. This will require investigative technical communications with internal and external sources to determine exact part specifications, revisions etc.
  • Co-ordinate and work closely with relevant internal customer services and external sales team members.
  • Aid continual development of customer services processes.
  • Provide support and cover to other internal sales executives in all aspects of customer services, eg. order processing, expediting, documentation etc. as and when required.
  • Undertake training and personal development in order to maximise effectiveness in post.
  • Undertake any other projects or activities as and when requested to do so.
  • To understand and demonstrate the importance of being a good team player.
  • Work to agreed performance targets, e.g. for response times, turnover and growth.
  • Self-development and continuing personal development, update and using relevant knowledge, keeping up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the job.
  • Adhere to the Company’s policy on Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Operate to company general requirements in regard to Company Policy, Objectives and Companywide continual improvement.
  • To be able to work in a pressurised environment maintaining efficiency and accuracy at all times.

About the ideal candidate:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in similar sales roles.
  • High motivated person, willing to grow within an emerging market.
  • Technical Data Analysis.
  • MS office suite.
  • MRP (D365) knowledge.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Teamwork.
  • Ability to handle complexity.
  • Excellent motivational and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning with the ability to follow up and deliver results.
