I. General information:
- Job Title: Hydraulic Engineer (Production Maintenance)
- Report to: Facility & Maintenance Manager
- Subordinates: Technicians
- Working Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City)
II. Summary of the role:

The Hydraulic Engineer is a vital role within our factory maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and upkeep of the facility’s mechanical systems and production machinery.

The primary goal is to minimize downtime, enhance safety, and maintain optimal performance and efficiency of all mechanical systems and machinery. This position is essential for maintaining uninterrupted production, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Provide machine performance report to adapt with production planning.
III. Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Well known with Hydraulics breakdowns & its permanent solution.
- Conduct failure investigation and prepares reports for problems or issues based on findings from facts, research, studies and makes necessary action and improvements
- Good knowledge of all type of hydraulics valves, pumps and accessories.
- Develop maintenance schedules and oversee routine inspections of hydraulic systems and other mechanical system of machinery
- Develop procedures, maintenance checklist for all production machines, boilers, plumping.
- Train, plan, assig, and direct of work to a group of technicians; appraising, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Work closely with production teams to understand machinery requirements and address any issues affecting production, ensure all mechanical installations and maintenance activities comply with local and national safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Plan and execute mechanical projects, including upgrades, modifications, and new installations,
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
- Experienced working with Facilites system such as Boiler, Chiller, pumps, compressed air system…
- Other tasks assigned by Line Manager.
About the Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of factory mechanical systems, machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of local and national safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical schematics, diagrams, manuals.
- Good English communication skills.
- Good in English, both written and spoken.
