2. Report to: Facility & Maintenance Manager
3. Subordinates: Technicians
4. Working Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City)

II. Summary of the role:

• The Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role within our factory maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of production machinery. This role is primarily responsible for monitoring machine performance, minimizing downtime, and implementing strategies to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall productivity of all mechanical systems and equipment.

• The Mechanical Engineer leads both the engineer and technician teams, driving continuous improvements in maintenance practices and ensuring that all mechanical systems operate at high performance

III. Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Main responsibility:

• Ensure all mechanical installations and maintenance activities comply with local and national safety regulations, testing commissioning machines.
• Develop work instructions, checklist for all machinery to meet internal standards and comply with local regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, optimal performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation, collaborate with production teams to address machinery requirements and resolve any issues impacting production.
• Provide technical support, guidance to maintenance engineer and technicians.
• Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers for technical support and spare parts procurement.
• Conduct safety training sessions to promote safe working practices among engineers, technicians
• Maintain accurate machines performance records, maintenance records, inspections, and machine repairs.
• Provide budget planning for maintenance and machine upgrade.
• Plan and execute mechanical projects, including upgrades, modifications, new installations, and commissioning of machinery.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct manager.

About the Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing
• Strong understanding of factory mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Knowledge of local and national safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Good in English, both written and spoken.
