Position Overview: Strategic Account Manager (m/f/d) Biopharma Solutions is responsible for leading the global account management of assigned accounts with the primary objective of driving growth and improving profitability. The Account Manager will develop and execute a global strategic account plan, foster key customer relationships, build internal support teams, and monitor project progress to ensure account success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global strategic account plan focused on achieving profitable growth within the account.
    • Execute the strategic plan by building strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, particularly at the C-suite level, and forming effective internal support teams.
    • Track and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Establish and maintain relationships with all relevant roles within the customer organization globally, with a strong emphasis on the C-suite.
    • Lead and influence both external and internal networks to achieve strategic objectives.
    • Organize regular strategic alignment sessions with the account(s) and develop a medium and long-term strategy road map.
  3. Market and Competitive Analysis:

    • Gather credible data and develop a deep understanding of the customer’s organization, structure, strategies, competitors, and economic trends globally.
    • Identify the core business product and service offerings required to compete effectively for the account(s).
  4. Sales Excellence and Contract Negotiation:

    • Actively use the Sales Excellence framework in executing the strategic plan.
    • Negotiate complex contracts with customers on a global and local basis, with a focus on business risk mitigation, in collaboration with business management and legal teams.
    • Foster global growth and profitability improvement within the account, targeting annual growth at or above market rates with increasing profitability.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience leading through influence, preferably in a sales/commercial organization
  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA a plus)
  • Sales or Business Development experience in a Global Organization
  • In-depth knowledge of business, sales, and marketing practices
  • Experience in creating and implementing high-level 3-year business plans and strategies
  • Knowledge of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing and Processes beneficial
  • Familiarity with rubber, plastic, silicone products, ISO (13485), and ISO (9001) quality requirements is beneficial
  • Understanding of the Value Chain and Total Cost of Ownership
  • Results-oriented with a focus on prioritizing issues that impact business performance
  • Excellent networking skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Visionary with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; a second language is a plus
