Within the Business Unit Antivibration Solutions we are developing and producing rubber-metal parts with approx. 750 employees across 8 sites worldwide. About the Job

As Key Account Manager you are responsible for specific Key Accounts within the Marine & Offshore Industry.

About the Ideal Candidate

The role requests a strong commercial acumen, a process driven mind-set and cellent technical skills with an ability to understand the market dynamics in targeted industries (Passenger vessels, Workboats, Cargo, Fishing, Offshore Wind, Offshore Oil&Gas) and tailormade solutions in the field of Shipbuilding. Moreover, the Key Account Manager will act as a contact person for our key accounts, implementing and following the global strategy.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintain contact to current customers and prospect to protect current business
  • Generate new business
  • Assess market conditions and Evaluate/set strategies continuously to grow revenues significantly on short-, mid- and long term
  • Improve customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the development of selling programs, pricing and policies to insure profitable and effective operations of the sales department
  • Apply Sales Excellence and create customer value (CCV)
  • Keep appraised of market trends in business as well as by competitors, actively communicate those within the organization
  • Prepare business and annual plans covering sales and marketing budgets
  • Participate in industry-related shows, conferences, associations and technical sessions to maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the industry
  • Develop plans and identify opportunities to direct the future growth of the business through new products, markets and services that fit the core competencies of the the future strategic direction of the company
  • Analyze and report key sales and marketing results to management
  • Promote the strengths and capabilities of the brand Trelleborg in targeted growth markets
  • Negotiate contracts and price agreements with Key Accounts
  • Become an industry expert for our strategic target markets to support our global sales team with your gained application knowledge

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role within Sales
  • University degree in preferably Naval or Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent communications skills, fluent in English
  • Further language will be a further benefit
  • Experience in project business

Competences

  • Good organization, time-management and forward planning
  • Excellent communication skills which you have proven in the past while interacting efficiently with customers in a professional manner
  • Very good understanding of business economics and value selling
  • Strong sales management, people skills and negotiation skills, very customer and service minded
  • Strong intrinsic motivation to develop business in a sales position
  • Highly independent and self-organized personality
  • Focused on problem-solving with the right balance between hands-on and process driven
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships on different management levels in an international environment (internaly and externally)
  • Well-experienced in dealing with IT systems such as CRM (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office, experience with ERP (SAP/Infor M3) will be advantageous
