As a Mechanical Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation related to the mechanical aspect of our products. You will ensure that our processes meet the required standards and quality needs while resolving daily engineering issues for the continuity of company operations. Responsibilities:
- Review and understand the specifications for products from finished goods to components & raw material levels with support from the group product design team.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve specifications, including error feedback and correction.
- Design and create drawings for customized components when needed.
- Prepare process drawings (such as product drawing, process flow, plant layout) and documents (such as work instructions, operating procedures, etc.).
- Create and maintain product master data in the ERP system, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routings.
- Plan manufacturing capacity, process cycle time, and standard work to optimize production efficiency.
- Provide supervision and technical assistance to production staff, resolving technical issues in daily operations.
- Support quality issue analysis, corrective actions, and continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborate with QA/QC and supplier coordinators on machining, fabrication, welding, and casting processes.
- Contribute to the MDR (Manufacturing Deviation Request) review as a process expert.
- Support supply chain development through technical review and alternative solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date specifications in compliance with ISO9001 standards.
- Assist in the introduction of new products and production processes.
- Supervise and provide training to personnel as required.
- Establish and maintain effective technical communication between TMEQ manufacturing and TMSA.
- Maintain calibration and records for testing equipment as required.
- Perform other tasks and assignments as directed by the direct manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a similar field, or equivalent experience in the industry.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in mechanical industry for product/process engineering.
- Experience with Manufacturing Excellence/Lean practices is preferred.
- Strong engineering abilities in mechanical products or processes, including casting, machining, welding, stamping, painting, etc.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, ProE/SolidWorks, etc.
- Ability to collect and analyze data for process performance tracking and improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Fluent in speaking and writing English.
