Job Summary:

Trelleborg Pipe Seals Milford, Inc., a leading manufacturer of specialized rubber products and machinery is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to customer telephone inquiries, orders, service needs and complaints, respond where applicable or direct to sales representatives or technical/service areas.
  • Maintain detailed and current knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Analyze customer service needs for communication to service and technical departments.
  • Keeps outside sales force informed of activity/trends in their territory.
  • Qualifies customers and works with multiple pricing schedules.
  • Communicates with customers to help them understand how to use the product properly.
  • Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Determines total cost for customer.
  • Checks stock with the Inventory Department.
  • Routes orders to departments for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • Receives and investigates customer complaints.
  • Experience with international shipping documents and procedures
  • Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
  • Attempts to sell additional merchandise to customer.
  • Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years Customer Service experience
  • Above average computer skills, to include word processing, spreadsheets and accurate data entry.
  • Experience with international shipping documents and procedures.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
