About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our established Finance team in Leicester, UK plant. You will receive great benefits and reward package as well as opportunities to grow your career! 

Summary of the Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide valuable support to an established Finance team, where you will get hands on experience in various areas of finance, with primary focus being accounts payable and sales invoicing.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Start to finish accounts receivable processes, including but not limited to:
• Customer Master Data creation and maintenance
• Cash Allocation, Manage Credit Notes
• Order release, Invoice run
• Process New and Change Customer Account Applications.
• Credit Control (debt collection responsibility) for all accounts.
• Resolve disputes and claims from customers.
• Meet Company and Department KPIs on overdue.
• Issue Statement of Accounts.
• Escalate overdue debt for insurance / legal action.
• Cash applications- Daily recording & processing of customer payments
• Start to finish Accounts payable processes, including but not limited to:
• Matching and Coding - where appropriate, all invoices in Basware system.
• Cash Allocation
• Manage Debit Notes through CMS system.
• Reconcile all supplier statements.

About the Ideal Candidate

The position calls for an individual with at least one year in an Accounts environment with a minimum requirement of an Associate degree and a preference for but not essential to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance. Ideally you will be proficient in using an ERP system, M3/ Basware.

Communication is a key part of this role as you will interact with our internal and external stakeholders. Therefore we are looking for someone who can communicate with confidence and concisely. To be effective in this role, you need to demonstrate the ability to resolve problems to a commercially successful outcome keeping our customers at the forefront of your decision making. Finally, we are looking for someone who will contribute towards our way of doing business; but will come up with innovative solutions and understands the important role they play in the overall success of the company.
