Summary of the Role:
This position is a strategic business partner to the VP HR, TSS in managing HR functions throughout the Americas, managing consistency in policy and procedure execution across all facets of the organization, supporting organizational change (structure & process), ensuring talent acquisition and development is successful to meet growth targets, and oversees the performance management process, as well as ensuring consistency in compensation and benefits packages. This is a key role in employee engagement through coaching and advising management team through challenges with people development, retention and attraction.
Represents the organizations interest and aligns with other TSS HR Team members at regional meetings to provide input with Trelleborg Group HR (Americas). Collaborates with HR in other regions to ensure alignment as it relates to development require cross regional moves.
Manages the HR network across the Americas to support the needs of the various Business Units and locations. Structures the team accordingly to ensure the tasks and responsibilities are performed by the assigned team
A key to success in this role is stakeholder management in a global matrix organization. Change management is another critical component in an effort to align to consistent standards on managing a positive employee experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Organizational design (contributing to the design of the organization and resource planning as we grow or contract with the market; creating a change management culture to align with growth targets)
- Compensation and Benefits (ensures the organization is competitive, works with Trelleborg Group as necessary for alignment)
- Engaging People (developing a high-performance culture)
- Accelerating Results (being agile and effective and always improving – performance management, acquisition integration, change management, developing excellence culture)
- HR Strategy development and execution for the region
- Improve and further develop Talent Development and Management process
- Ensures team meets required governmental and company reporting requirements
- Develops strategy and execution of recruiting, hiring, retention and separation to support business growth and financial objectives for the BU; this includes Employer Branding and utilizing various social media outlets as well as universities and other traditional outlets.
- Collaborates with internal and external legal counsel to ensure that Trelleborg’s best interest in HR matters is considered.
- Ensures compliance matters are investigated and recommends outcome based on findings.
- Manages team to ensure:
- Timely and accurate payroll
- Timely adherence to benefit enrollment schedule
- Hiring of new employees are supported for a good onboarding experience
- Assists in the due diligence of acquisitions; ensures employee compensation and benefits are addressed smoothly per the outcome of the acquisition and timing to meet requirements; along with any other related acquisition support requirements
- Assists as necessary with employee engagement survey and output of results and actions to improve results.
- Assists in the evaluation of shift changes/office movement in terms of impact to employees and financial impact to business.
- Provides support for Performance Management and Merit Increase in terms of calibration of ratings; works with new managers to ensure they are prepared to provide performance feedback and coaching.
- Evaluates HR processes, providing KPI’s and measurements for continuous improvement; which are then overseen for timely and accurate implementation upon approval.
- Other tasks assignment by management to support TSS and Trelleborg Group within the region.
Education and Experience:
- 15 years of experience in an HR Leadership function
- 4 Year College degree.
- Masters in an HR related field a plus
- Ability to travel, as business needs require.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, global environment with matrix organization
- Experience with labor unions (maintaining/initiating/ending relationships)
- Experience with M&A

Travel:
- Position is regional and resides within the US, with local travel requirements. Some international may be required to align with global colleagues.
