The Product Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for a product or range of products through all phases of product development, manufacturing and application in support of TSS Denver’s Vision–Mission–Values (VMV). They will interact with customers to secure detailed design information and convert it into a viable design output.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Designs custom parts including providing and maintaining manufacturing documentation; includes all aspects of designing, drafting, print sign off, and maintaining drawing database files. Must consider performance, costs, processes and materials throughout the entire process.
Follows existing documentation practices and continuously looks for improvements.
Provides technical support as needed to internal customers (manufacturing process, quality) and external customers (product application).
Creates designs understanding the need to support quality, environmental health and safety management systems (including but not limited to ISO-9001, AS 9100, and ISO 14001)
Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in mechanical, chemical or aerospace. Must have a minimum of 5 years mechanical design preferably in a manufacturing environment. Background in a polymer-processing environment will be very beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have ability to work in a team environment with other departments such as Production, Customer Service, and external Marketing Companies.
Must have proficient knowledge with Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with team members and all levels of the organization.
Must have the ability to operate calipers, micrometer and various other measuring tools
Knowledge of materials and material requirements
Strong mathematical skills
High mechanical aptitude
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Equipment Used
This position is located in a manufacturing facility, which requires standing, walking, squatting, twisting, and bending. Must be able to stand for extended periods, handle containers of product. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.

Safety Glasses to be worn at all times when on the production floor.
