Who are we?

Trelleborg India Private Limited, (Business Unit: Trelleborg Sealing Solutions) headquartered at Bangalore is a leading sealing solution provider in India. The company with about 800+ employees across India has been successful in creating strong footholds in the Sealing market of the country.  

We are looking for you as a Segment Manager - Sales, for our sales department. The location of the position will be Bangalore; this role is responsible for ensuring profitable growth in identified segment & promote entire range of products offered by the company in the segment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement strategic sales approach for the segment OEMs, tier 1 and tier 2 customers
  • Good knowledge of Indian market segment and process (Quality Standards & relevant documentation)
  • Lead and build a high-performance team with focus on developing new business.
  • Responsible for end-to-end sales and new business/ new product development in this segment.
  • Responsible for customer analysis and understanding the market dynamics
  • Responsible for the turnover and margin of the customers
  • Interact with internal stakeholders such as SCM, Finance, Application Engineering etc.to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for developing the annual budget for the turnover and margin for this segment.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with the management requirement.
  • Responsible for initial verification of contracts and legal documents of customers. Support the activities of the legal department up to the signature of the contract in line with the existing company policies
  • Responsible for effective collection and maintaining zero overdue owned

About the Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience:

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy & OEM Sales for minimum 10 - 12 years
  • Knowledge in Seals, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems preferred
  • Knowledge of Rubber/Plastic products preferred
  • Familiar with CRM software
  • Strong working experience with respective Segment customers

Competencies:

  • Strong communication, attitude, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical aptitude beneficial
  • Ability to lead and motivate customers
  • Ability to measure and analyze performance
