Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with overall business goals and manufacturing industry trends to drive revenue growth.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure individual and collective success.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring effective communication between the sales team and clients.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and competitive trends in the manufacturing sector, informing sales strategies and positioning.
- Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with other departments to develop accurate sales forecasts.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs for the sales team.
- Sales Training: Provide ongoing training to the sales team, ensuring they are well-versed in product knowledge, industry trends, and effective techniques.
- Sales Process Optimization: Streamline and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve the overall effectiveness of the sales team.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, allocating resources effectively to support sales initiatives and maximize return on investment.
- Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback, incorporating insights into product development, marketing strategies, and overall customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure that the sales team operates within legal and ethical guidelines, adhering to industry regulations and company policies.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are often advantageous.
- Experience: Proven experience in sales management, typically with experience in a sales leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
