About the Job

As the Finance Director for Trelleborg India Private Limited, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial operations, compliance requirements, and strategic financial guidance for the legal entity. You will play a pivotal role in supporting local management teams in developing, executing, and refining strategic plans to ensure sustained profitability and growth.

Roles & responsibilities:

You will be responsible to,

  1. Deliver High-Quality Financial Information:
    • Provide accurate and insightful financial information to business leaders and local management to support decision-making.
  2. Provide Strategic Financial Guidance:
    • Advise senior management with data-driven insights and strategic financial recommendations to drive profitable business growth.
  3. Financial Planning & Budgeting:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets that align with company goals and objectives.
  4. Performance Analysis & Monitoring:
    • Analyze and monitor key financial performance indicators, offering support to business leaders and local management to foster growth and optimize cash generation.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess potential business risks, proactively implementing strategies to mitigate them in a timely manner.
  6. Support Strategic Execution:
    • Assist business leaders and local management in the development and execution of strategic plans to enhance operational performance.
  7. Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements that promote operational efficiencies and increase productivity.
  8. Ensure Internal Controls & Compliance:
    • Instill robust internal controls and ensure full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies, including compliance directives and guidelines.
  9. Lead Finance Team:
    • Lead a team of finance specialists, ensuring all financial and tax reporting is in full compliance with local and group policies, guidelines, and regulations.
  10. Drive Organizational Initiatives:
    • Lead and execute Group, Business Area (BA), and Business Unit (BU) initiatives at the local level to further enhance organizational performance and alignment with organizational objectives.

 

About the Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience: 

  • Accomplished and results-driven Registered Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of extensive experience in financial management, specializing in the manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record of success in complex, multicultural, and international business environments.
  • Expertise in ERP systems, project management, and change management, with a strong ability to lead and develop finance teams.
  • Adept at driving business efficiency, optimizing financial processes, and delivering value across various organizational levels.

Competencies:

  1. Financial Accounting & Reporting: In-depth knowledge of financial accounting practices and reporting procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  2. Manufacturing Costing: Extensive experience in manufacturing costing, including cost allocation, product pricing, and profitability analysis.
  3. Risk Assessment & Analysis: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks to safeguard business interests.
  4. Budgeting & Forecasting: Expertise in developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to guide decision-making.
  5. Project & Change Management: Proven experience in leading projects and managing change initiatives with a strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  6. Leadership & Team Development: Effective leader with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing finance teams.
  7. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  8. Teamwork & Networking: Strong collaboration, social, and networking skills that foster positive working relationships and team synergy.
  9. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
