Summary of the Role: 

The General Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of various departments and teams on their site. This position plays a pivotal role in driving the organization's mission and growth. The General Manager will work closely with site leadership to ensure the organization’s success.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership:

  • Drive initiatives for business growth and long-term sustainability.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all processes and procedures are compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) Financial Management:
  • Monitor financial performance and take proactive measures to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high- quality operations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Finance Manager for Americas and their team

Team Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to department managers and their teams

Quality Assurance:

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that the organization consistently meets or exceeds quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Optimize inventory management and logistics to ensure the timely delivery of products.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Maintain a safe working environment for employees and promote adherence to health and safety protocols.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Provide regular reports and updates to Regional Operations Director-Americas as needed.
  • Communicate organizational objectives and progress to employees at all levels.

Employee Engagement:

  • Ensure staff employee engagement results are positive and take steps to further improve results.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, international business, or a related field
  • Extensive Senior Leadership experience with progressive managerial responsibilities
  • Prior experience as Plant Manager; preferably responsible for multiple sites or a campus
  • Experience with operations, supply chain, quality, customer service, and product lines
  • Experience leading within a union environment
