Summary of Role:
The successful candidate will have global responsibility for the management of the Water / Food & Beverage segment. As the leader for the segment, the candidate will develop the Water, Food & Beverage business strategy, ensure financial performance targets are met and ultimately drive decisions regarding market expansion, products produced, manufacturing capabilities and marketing/sales strategies. These decisions will be largely influenced by market segment data and financial analysis generated and recommendations made by the candidate selected.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement granular Water, Food & Beverage Business Strategy
- Drive Global understanding of key sub-segments, applications, trends and capabilities required to implement strategy
- Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Engineering and Operations to build capability needed to be successful in the market
- Lead market intelligence through market surveillance, competitive analysis, industry reports to inform product strategy and sales initiatives
- Manage and coordinate product life-cycle activities – including market concept, launch readiness and end-of-life
- Develop and grow relationships with key Customers and certification bodies
- Evaluate risks from competitors / engage strategic containment initiatives.
- Manage the New Product Development stage gate process coordinating international, cross-functional teams ensuring on time / on budget program launch
- Establish metrics to assess the success of the strategy
- Prioritize activities and opportunities to deliver profitable growth
- Domestic and international travel required (30%)
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS Engineering or meaningful experience.
- 5+ years product development / engineering experience in internationally regulated Plumbing (inclusive of water treatment) / Food & Beverage applications
- Sound financial acuity with demonstrated success in sales and gross margin results
- Proficiency in building granular business strategy and business plans
- Excellent cross-functional leader with strong social skills
- Proficient at prioritization and weighing options to make sound business decisions
- Demonstrated knowledge of sophisticated manufacturing processes
