Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor attendance and sickness levels for your area in line with company targets. Ensure Return to Work interviews are conducted within 24 hours of staff return; raising concerns to line manager and/or HR Manager where appropriate.
  • Undertake appraisals and performance review when required, highlighting training and development needs and ensuring these are met
  • Ensure quality targets are met and take the lead in root cause analysis (RCA) events to understand cause and prevent re-occurrence

Inom Trelleborg Mixing Forsheda utvecklar, producerar, marknadsför och säljer vi tekniskt avancerade gummiblandningar. Vårt provningslaboratorium har en central roll i att kontrollera och kvalitetssäkra material innan de går vidare i processen eller levereras till kund.

Om rollen

Som laboratorietekniker på driftslabbet har du en viktig roll i att säkerställa kvaliteten på våra producerade gummiblandningar. Arbetet är självständigt och kräver noggrannhet, samtidigt som du har ett nära samarbete med bland annat lager, produktion och utvecklingslabb.

Du arbetar i ett praktiskt och varierat labbflöde där provning, dokumentation och uppföljning är centrala delar av rollen. Arbetstiden är förlagd till 2-skift.

Huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter

  • Utföra provningstester såsom hårdhet, densitet, vulkegenskaper, viskositet, elektriska egenskaper och tejpprovning.
  • Prova producerade blandningar enligt fastställda testplaner för respektive material.
  • Bereda prover och tillverka provkroppar för de tester där detta krävs.
  • Registrera testresultat korrekt i databasen.
  • Godkänna blandningar som ligger inom fastställda gränsvärden.
  • Rapportera blandningar som inte uppfyller kraven eller tydligt avviker från specifikation.
  • Administrera provning som utförs av annan funktion eller externt laboratorium.
  • Säkerställa att utrustningen på driftslabbet fungerar som den ska och är i gott skick.
  • Rapportera fel, avvikelser eller behov av åtgärder enligt gällande rutiner.
  • Arbeta i linje med företagets policys, rutiner samt miljö- och kvalitetssystem.

About the Role...

You’ll play a key role in managing our CNC turning equipment, taking it from setup right through to operation. You’ll ensure all safety systems, including emergency stops, are routinely checked and working effectively. This role also gives you the chance to operate multiple machines, building your expertise and experience along the way.  You will…

  • Produce parts from information contained in the manufacturing orders.
  • Read and understand a technical drawing and understand the use of tool cutting points and TNR compensation.
  • Able to read a CNC program and edit, if required.
  • Select and set the correct tools for the job.
  • Check physical seal dimensions with various mechanical and optical measuring equipment and ensure that they are within the tolerance specified on the drawing.
  • Carry out batch inspection parts at regular intervals as defined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Batch inspect parts for defects and dispose of any parts that do not meet parameters.
  • Set and operate several CNC machines as required.
  • You’ll be responsible for running first-off parts, checking dimensions against engineering drawings, and making precise adjustments to ensure everything meets specification.
  • Enter job details start/end etc. on barcode scanning for job traceability.
  • Reinstate the work area before starting the next job.

Experience & Skills…

You’ll bring hands-on experience in CNC turning, along with a solid background in engineering and production. You’re confident reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings and take pride in producing high-quality components from that information.

Ideally, you’ll have experience working with Fanuc controls or Okuma machines, although this isn’t essential if you’re keen to learn. You’ll enjoy the variety of working across multiple CNC machines and feel comfortable adapting to different products and production areas as required.

You will also:

  • Have relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Engineering or Manufacturing) or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Have proven experience operating CNC machinery within a production environment.
  • Be confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills, enabling you to multitask effectively while maintaining efficiency and productivity.
  • Be able to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Take a structured, orderly, and methodical approach to your work, with high standards of discipline and housekeeping.
  • Have a strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements and consistently use PPE correctly.

Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Delano, MN. Follows good manufacturing practices (GMP) and principles to provide engineering support and develop robust manufacturing processes. Has a primary role in the engineering of new, modified and/or existing manufacturing operations in a clean-room environment. Apply engineering theory and principles to ensure that the Value Stream for specific products is optimized using Lean Sigma tools.

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze product specifications and translate these into manufacturing processes to establish production rates, achieve expected quality levels and establish reliability of finished product.
  • Identifies tooling related issues and communicates/works with a tool maker to resolve the issues
  • Develop manufacturing methods for new and existing products, establish labor standards and develop product cost information.
  • Meticulously document all manufacturing process information and sequences within the Trelleborg document control system.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to existing processes and methods using data or observation. Develop the improvements and implement them as quickly as practical.
  • Make improvements to production rates and reduce scrap by identifying and implementing new and better equipment, processes or human factors methods.
  • Assist production in troubleshooting production problems with individual components, individual processes and help improve the situation to assure customer delivery dates and superior quality.
  • Review production schedules and engineering specifications to resolve production problems.
  • CAPA- Active member of the CAPA team responsible for implementing permanent corrective actions.
  • DMR- Participate in determination of product DMR disposition plan and approval with the VS team.
  • Follow ISO 13485 and 21 CFR part 11 and part 820 and Trelleborg Quality System protocols.
  • Execution of DOE's, problem solving, FMEA's, validations, control plans, continuation engineering for products.
  • Actively Support Production, Engineering and Quality departments.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related disciplinE

 As a painter, you would prepare the surfaces of the parts, mix the paint, prep your tools, and apply paint ensuring high quality, blemish free parts.

  • Use sanders and similar tools to ensure parts are prepped for paint.   
  • Routinely review work orders, work on correct operations and jobs.

Vores produktionsafdelinger arbejder med alt fra blanding af råmaterialer, formning af rør og drejning af tætninger på CNC-maskiner til vask, rens, kvalitetstjek og manuel efterbearbejdning af emner.

Arbejdsopgaver i afdelingerne:

Mould – rørproduktion
I Mould arbejdes der med vores råmaterialer i pulverform. Her blandes råmaterialerne i store spande, hvorefter pulveret, under højt tryk, presses til rør i både større og mindre formpressere. Efter rørene er blevet presset, sendes de til sintring, hvor de færdigproduceres i vores ovne. Arbejdsopgaverne kan inkludere tungere løft. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Mould består af:

  • Afmåling og blanding af råmaterialer i pulverform
  • Indstilling og montering af formpressere/kerner
  • Manuel påfyldning og overvågning af formpressere
  • Afmontering og manuel kvalitetskontrol af færdigpressede rør

Drej – drejning af tætninger
I Drej arbejdes der videre med de færdigproducerede rør, som her ved hjælp af CNC-maskiner drejes til vores højteknologiske tætninger. Vi kører alt fra enkeltstyksproduktion med mange omstillinger til højvolumenproduktion, hvorfor der er variation i det, der produceres. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Drej består af:

  • Drejning af tætninger i PTFE og andre plastmaterialer
  • Tilpasning af programmer og værktøjer på CNC-drejebænke
  • Kvalitetskontrol ved brug af manuelt måleudstyr og visionsmaskiner

Efterbearbejdning – visuel inspektion, efterbearbejdning og pakning af ordrer
I Efterbearbejdningen foregår den sidste del af produktionsprocessen. Her foregår meget af arbejdet ved manuel og visuel inspektion af tætningerne, men nogle emner kan også have behov for særlig efterbearbejdning i form af vask eller ved, at der laves særlige spor eller huller i tætningerne. Når produkterne er visuelt kontrolleret, skal de pakkes efter ordrernes anvisninger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Efterbearbejdningen består af:

  • Manuel og visuel inspektion af færdigproducerede emner
  • Vibrationsafgratning samt vask og rens af emner
  • Fremstilling af spor og huller i tætningerne
  • Overvågning og betjening af automatiserede maskiner
  • Pluk og pak af ordrer

QC – kvalitetssikring af produkter før, under og efter produktion
I Quality Control er kvalitet af højeste prioritet. Her kvalitetssikres vores produkter både før, under og efter produktion, og det er QCs ansvar at sørge for, at vores produkter overholder de kvalitetsstandarder, vi lover vores kunder. QC har en bred kontaktflade, og du skal derfor trives i en udadvendt rolle samt være god til at samarbejde og kommunikere med kolleger på tværs af afdelinger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i QC består af:

  • Stikprøvekontrol af emner i alle størrelser og godkendelse af færdige produkter
  • Kontrol af Notch, Cut og afsyrede produkter
  • Assistere produktionen med måleteknik m.m.
  • Udarbejdelse af manuel og elektronisk dokumentation

Vores produktion kører døgnet rundt, og du vil derfor få mulighed for at arbejde i fast skift fra mandag til fredag på enten dag-, aften- eller nathold. Det er dog sjældent, at vi får ledige stillinger på daghold. Uanset hvilket hold du bliver en del af, sørger vi naturligvis for grundig oplæring og løbende udvikling, så du bliver godt klædt på til opgaven.

Hvem er du?
For os er det ikke så vigtigt, hvad du tidligere har arbejdet med, eller hvilken uddannelsesmæssig baggrund du har – vi tror nemlig på, at hvis man har evnerne og den rette indstilling, vilje og gå-på-mod, så kan resten tillæres. Det vil dog være en fordel, hvis du har en faglig relevant uddannelse, eller hvis du har relevant erfaring fra tidligere beskæftigelse.


For at vi fortsat kan bibeholde en verdensklasseproduktion, er det et krav, at du er grundig, kvalitetsbevidst og aldrig går på kompromis med kvaliteten. Du skal også kunne begå dig på dansk i skrift og tale samt have kendskab til IT på brugerniveau. Det er også vigtigt, at du kan arbejde selvstændigt, og at du trives med at arbejde alene.
