Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate financial management across 3 operating legal entities, 1 holding legal entity, and 16 operating units.
• Lead financial reporting, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, treasury, banking, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS15, local tax laws, external audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as Compliance Officer & Company Secretary for two Australian legal entities.
• Drive financial performance, reporting on budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and risk management.
• Maintain financial controls to ensure cost efficiency and ethical business practices.
• Select and manage relationships with auditors, banks, suppliers, and external partners.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of 8 finance professionals.

About the Job

We're looking for a Senior Controller to join our Velten team and make a meaningful impact. Your keen eye to attention to detail and analytical mindset will help you thrive in this role.

Your Responsibilities

• Active further development of existing reports and analysis tools in the area of finance and controlling
• Monitoring and control of cost and margin developments through target/actual comparisons with initiation of corrective measures with the responsible departments
• Close cooperation with the accounting department in the context of the closing activities for the locations Velten and Adliswil (Switzerland)
• Monthly Group reporting with analysis of earnings drivers and preparation of ad hoc analyses
• Responsible for operational and strategic planning for the locations
• Further development of the calculation and cost accounting systems
• Carrying out profitability analyses and preparing the for basis investment decisions and their follow-up
• Ensuring adherence to guidelines compliance(e.g. transfer prices, internal controls)
• Support for working capital and liquidity management

Your profile:

• Completed university degree in the field of finance/controlling
• At least three years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a medium-sized manufacturing company
• International corporate experience desirable
• Experience in SOX (internal control systems) desirable
• Fluent written and spoken German and English
• Independent, structured, analytical and autonomous way of working
• Very good communication skills, strong customer orientation and ability problem-solving
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (including SAP)
• Willingness to travel

Summary of Role:

Manage every aspect of an accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner. This position supports the finance department and will effectively complete all necessary administrative functions.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Processes all invoices within the JD Edwards System
• Performs US Dollar and foreign currency wires
• Assists in monthly closings
• Obtains approvals on ACH’s through bank account.
• Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
• Performs all electronic filing.

• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Work directly with internal business partners to ensure data requests are complete and accurately entered in the ERP system
• Review and process employee expense reports

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• One to three years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, or a related field (Required)
• Experience working with Microsoft Office products, including Excel
• Familiarity with month, quarter, and year end closings
