The RDC Engineering Technician will support Sales, Marketing and our Customers in rapid development of medical components and devices. Responsible for all aspects of product development. Tasks and Responsibilities

Supports reviews of new and revised tooling designs
• Create jobs/work orders in the ERP system and other miscellaneous ERP related tasks
• Develop and optimizes polymer conversion process parameters for new tools
• Low-volume manufacturing runs
• Move product through all manufacturing process
• Responsible for measuring parts/tooling
• Develop world class business and manufacturing processes to support the rapid development of life-saving components, devices and therapies
• Collaborates across business unit locations to share manufacturing best practices, technology, and processes
• May be assigned special assignments to support the strategic goals of the IC

Education and Experience

Required:
• 2 year degree or 5 years experience in any one of the following; manufacturing, injection molding, engineering, tooling or quality
Desired:
• 2 year degree in quality, engineering, tooling or any related field

Opgaver prioriteres, så det er muligt at være med helt fra starten af undersøgelserne til den endelige vurdering af resultater og rapportering.

Dine primære opgaver vil indebære:

  • Kvalitetskontrol af materialer, råvarer og færdige produkter
  • Deltagelse i udviklingsprojekter, planlægning af forsøg samt udførelse af undersøgelser
  • Selvstændig udarbejdelse af laboratorierapporter med konklusioner og beslutninger
  • Håndtere materialespørgsmål relateret hovedsageligt til PTFE men også andre plastmaterialer
  • Udarbejdelse og vedligehold af SOP’er

Vi benytter forskelligt udstyr, som er relateret til analyse af plastmaterialer, bl.a.:

  • Termisk udstyr (DSC, TGA og DMA)
  • Trækprøveapparat
  • Partikelstørrelsesmåler
  • Mikroskoper, herunder SEM og lasermikroskop

Kendskab til ovenstående udstyr er en fordel men ikke et krav, da en grundig oplæring vil være en del af onboarding.

Summary of the Role:

A Manufacturing Tooling Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing processes in order to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyzes product design specifications and translates these into manufacturing processes to meet quality requirements and establishes acceptable cycle times and production levels 

  • Develops manufacturing methods for new and existing products, establishes labor standards and develops product cost information 

  • Meticulously documents all manufacturing process information and sequences within the site’s document control system 

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement to existing processes and methods using data or observation, develops the improvements and implements them as quickly as practical 

  • Collaborates with Engineering to measure and understand the effects of process changes 

  • Makes improvements to production rates and reduces scrap by identifying and implementing new and better equipment, processes or human factor methods. 

  • Assists Machining and Tooling departments in troubleshooting problems with individual components or processes to assure superior quality and on-time delivery of machined piece parts and tooling components 

  • Assists CNC Programmers with creation and maintenance of tool libraries, post processor optimization, and CAM software customization and development of best practices 

  • Participates in determination of product DMR disposition plan and approval with the production teams 

  • Works safely and acts in accordance with all safely policies and procedures 

  • Collaborates with Operations and quality in overall machining process and equipment improvements 

  • Leads and participates in continuous improvement projects to support department and corporate goals 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing processes, quality control and the use of industry specific tools and software 

Competencies:

About the Job

As a design automation engineer you have the responsibility to complete design automation projects, as directed by your line manager. Assisting immediate line manager to complete assigned projects and goals within specified time limit. Strong working knowledge and experience required in SolidWorks API using VBA, VB .Net or C#. The duties and responsibilities of the design automation engineer is not limited to those listed below and are subject to change as per needs of the business.

  • Providing design automation support for products associated with the customer group activities.
  • Read and understand the project requirement and communicate with respective project owners to clarify data required to complete the project.
  • Responsible for micro project planning & timely submission of work allocated to you.
  • Discuss with line manager about the project assigned.
  • Maintain all communication in written through mail, even if telephonic discussion is made. Summarize mail should be sent for discussed points to respective persons.
  • Should follow effective modelling and drawings practice.
  • Ensure deliverables are correct and aligning to the requirement.
  • The successful and timely delivery of all design automation work allocated to you.
  • Follow defined company processes and standards.
